An 11am game against Southwestern Louisiana is an attendance killer.

11am? Check
90 degrees? Check
50 point underdog? Check
Overpriced food and water? Check
Lines to bathroom and concessions? Check
Inability to watch other games while I’m there? Check
No alcohol? Check

Well golly count me in!

I would gladly trade this POS student/athlete for that student section any day

Empty seat > racist a-hole in seat. We'll have to pass.

Good luck making the trade elsewhere. You might want to polish up the sales pitch a bit though.

Our fans are broke by now. They gotta save it to make it to whatever bowl game.

For real.

They aren't going to the game simply because it is not a match up that anyone would care about. This would be sort of like if each NFL team just randomly scheduled 3 or 4 semi pro teams every year to get a guaranteed win.

Step right up folks and watch:
Dallas Cowboys vs Glens Falls Grenjackets
New England Patriots vs Hudson Valley Mountaineers
New York Giants vs Utica Yard Dogs

Who the hell would want to see that? I don't blame those students one bit for sitting that one out.

Yep, most of it anyway.
They're making way for a videoboard and a standing room viewing deck.

This is what happens when you play cupcakes every game, bet the stadium won't look like that in November when you finally play a ranked team.

honestly I'd blame the students more so than the paying fans. Students typically get free tickets or at a substantially reduced price, at minimum. They also don't have any other real life obligations and already live on campus. There really isn't any reason they shouldn't go to games.

They aren’t going to the game because not going is unequivocally better in almost every way. The only argument to go to a game anymore is atmosphere (which this game would have none. Otherwise it’s cheaper, more fun, and more convenient to watch it at Innisfree

It's cheaper for a student to run up a tab at a bar watching the game than to brown bag their own liquor into the stadium? Convenience is a wash for a student. It's either walking to a bar or walking to a stadium. More fun, maybe. I do know when I was in college I didn't exactly have the financial ability to make a habit of starting my bar tab at noon

Didn't y'all just play Alabama State? That's not even a cupcake, that's a pepper mint.

Will lmao if the msu slide continues and auburn implodes, bama may not host a ranked team this year

It would serve the UA AD right for scheduling such continual out of conference shite games.

Yeah, please don’t lose too many more games, Aub. It would suck to have Citadel-like attendance for the IB.

es, and the long snapper tweeted “must be nice to have fans show up at home games” about PSUs white out vs OSU.

Yeah OK: If we can get a night game at home with either Ohio State or Penn State those stands would be full.

This obviously didn’t sell out...... this is why sell out streaks are bogus.
