It would be a much better atmosphere for that fat kid they're always showing on tv. I believe the current seating has been bumped up to 5400. Plus this is free money for the university and a better atmosphere would equal a win and another game at home. Roll Tide.

Don't want a better atmosphere - want it to be in Coleman in front of 500 people.

I watched and played in a many a game there while growing up! The state high school basketball tourneys were once ALL played there!...a ton of history inside those walls.

And a wee bit at the doors as well.

Actually the Rec center would be even better. At least people could get a workout in and just come and go to see how bad Shelton State is beating Alabama.

What is it about the lighting at Bama Arenas ? I have seen theaters better lit than Coleman and Foster.

It's intentional. To save the spectators from watching the shite on the court.

Hides the identity of the spectators. Cuts down on the paper bag wearing.

I don't understand this line of thinking. Sad if you're a fan.
I like to support my alma mater at all times.
Could be in Vanderbilt's shoes.

I am supporting my alma mater. These are exhibition games, winning them means nothing. Moving on from the head coach means everything.
Seems pretty simple to me.

It is very sad, very sad indeed that Alabama's basketball program is so unbelievably average and stuck in neutral for 13 years. We're supporting our school by demanding that it be better than it is. We don't want to be in Vanderbilt's shoes, which is why we are raising hell.

Should move it to an outdoor game at Legion Field to attract more than the 200 people that will show up

We have very solid attendance for basketball 90% of the time.
We're not going to for a NIT game against Norfolk State after the 4th straight February/March collapse by our head coach and his team.
