Just scrolled further down my previous linked page and LSU is #5 on the list of active NFL rosters to start the season.

Well I guess I could pick 3 years where those numbers would favor LSU. Since 2000 Bama has had 118 players drafted, LSU in the same time period had 112. So congrats I guess, a whole 6 people difference. Oh and Bama isn’t number one, that goes to Ohio St with 131 in that time frame
There isn't one school that has the same coach since 2000.
The start of 2019 season saw Alabama with 75% more players on active NFL rosters than LSU.
Ohio State was a distant second with 44 which is 12 less than Alabama.
I used the last three years because they is how long Orgeron has been at LSU.
You quoting numbers from 2000 when Saban was at LSU is just purposely obtuse.
The gap will widen significantly after the 2020 draft depending on who declares for Bama.
Bama is currently developing talent at an unprecedented level.
No program in the common draft has ever had double digit players selected 3 years in a row and Bama has a chance at 4years in a row.
Bama has also had 1st rd draft pick every year for over 10 years now.

Congrats you cherrypicked a season where LSU had less players on NFL rosters.
Have a cookie.
I can do the same thing. In 2017, LSU had 50 players while Alabama was tied for fourth at 44.

I'm in no way agreeing with the OP, but...
I think his point us more about players love for O, not the heisman itself. Stuff like that and RTWFU gets players juiced up. He'll even the "geaux tigers" at the end of every interview (even in the packed out heisman room) draws a lot of praise and emotion.
And I'm only a very recent O supporter.

It's amazing that winning a Heisman only helps LSU in recruiting. I've never heard this narrative before but LSU is just going to get anyone they want now that Burrow won a Heisman.

A season? It's this season... Like, the most recent season that started this year.
I mean, the person I responded to said LSU had more players in the NFL, so, I'm not sure what you're so fricking triggered about?...
So, have a cookie for typing worthless drivel.

Then you're comparing apples to oranges. LSU is in a bit of a "draft downturn" right now as Coach O is just now getting his recruits developed as well as changing an entire offensive system around.
Meanwhile, Saban has been entrenched for 12 years or whatever.

Different level of development happens at Alabama.
That's still false
Alabama 5 star players are drafted in the 1st rd at a 48.3%clip in the last 3 years.
The rest of college football is getting 5stars in the 1st rd at a 17% clip.
That is undoubtedly a different level of development compared to everyone else.
Alabama is developing players better than everyone.
Hence Alabama having 11 1st rd picks to LSU having 1 in the last 3 years.
Please if you are going to refute facts have some type of source or competent argument next time.

Dead Wrong, but of course you can’t trust a gump when dealing with something so complex as counting numbers....
LSU had two of the first 6 players drafted in 2017, (Fornette and Adams) much higher than any Bama player taken that year and then we added another one in the first later in the draft in T. White(runner up droy). So that’s one, two, three, for all you Bama fans.....

While the post you responded to was wrong and LSU had 3 1st rounders, Bama had 4 in the same round.
So that goes against the overall theme of the thread.

I think it’s hilarious that he called someone out and told him to come with facts when trying to refute something when he is way off on his facts....Huge difference between 0 and 3
And secondly, they may have had one more first rounder that year, but like I said two of the first 6 picks in the entire draft were LSU players not Bama players. And the third was the runner up rookie of the year. Seems we send superior quality to the nfl compared to Bamas quantity and I’d expect most nfl personnel to agree with me.

What has happened is LSU has eliminated or significantly closed the GAP on much of Bamas advantages
No longer an analyst advantage
No longer a scheme advantage
Bama analysts and LSU scheme allowed Bama to know almost every play LSU ran in advance. Even this year in Tuscaloosa Bama tricked LSU on a check with me play and timed the LSU silent snap count on many plays.
No longer a national recruiting advantage
The huge talent GAP on the line of scrimmage has been closed up
The inability to recruit and develop a QB has been closed up
All that means is that LSU now is roughly at parity with Bama and the winner will be based on what happens on the field that day.
