What are you basing this on? Did a bunch of recruits immediately flip commitments? So Joe gave a good speech and now you’re pretending Joes speech will keep recruits from going to Alabama???

Some of y’all seriously need to get a grip on reality. I couldn’t imagine obsessing over a team I hated every second of the day, all the while pretending like I don’t. Pure madness

Not really in the grand scheme of CFB. Bama standards yes. But there’s not really anyone else. Clemson in recent years. And Osu.. 4 sec championships , 3 Bcs national title games and making a CFB playoff appearance in the first 5 years of its existence isn’t chopped liver.

Thanks for a well-written analysis. I would go even further and posit that Alabama's days of dominance are coming to an end. They will now have to compete with a resurgent LSU under Orgeron who is a lot smarter than people give him credit. Then, there is Georgia which has already made it to the top and would be winning it all if they had a Joe Burreaux. Florida is near the top and you only have to give Mullen another year or two. Malzahn is always a work in progress, but he is capable of putting it all together in any given year. Pruitt is slowly rebuilding Tennessee and, I think, will have it done in another year or two. Now, I think the 75 million dollar idiot at aTm will implode at some time in the not too distant future, but the Aggies are not known for intelligence when it comes to football. Kiffin is going to win a lot of games in the SEC and Pittman is smarter than he looks at Arkansas. None of this means that Alabama won't continue to be close to championships, at least as long as Saban is there, but they won't be able to take any of it for granted anymore.

Actually, I think LSU fans are going to be disappointed come both signing days. Alot of people on the recruiting board believe we are getting everybody (like every year) because they believe all these so called insiders. Our fans are delusional when it comes to recruiting

So you picked 3 years where coach O is just starting out with his career at LSU and coach Saban is established with all his titles. Seems like a fair comparison.
I’m sure LSU’s numbers will start looking much better, then again who knows? Last year’s draft eligible juniors minus I think 2 returned for their senior year and help LSU reach the playoffs with an undefeated SEC Championship team. As long as we get these type of results, or at least challenges for the SEC I could care less about draft numbers.
