For anyone interested, I just submitted an open records request to the University of Alabama for actual basketball attendance for 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. We'll see how that turns out. They're supposed to respond within like 7 days or something like that. Not sure what they're required to do outside of that.

Even with the terrible 14-15 season, it will be >4000 per. NYC gone.

I doubt they'll have numbers for this past season that fast.

Why is this so important to you?

I was about to ask why this was so important to Tuscaloosa. Filing a records request???

It is a strange ranking, looking at the whole list it is pretty obvious something about the guy's methodology is flawed. I would love to hear his justification of Northwestern and USF.

Where do you get this number?
They make him feel better, while Bama does struggle with attendance prior to January, once conference season gets here we routinely put 12,000 plus in the stands.

Me too
Miami and Florida St are actually in striking distance of Florida and we suck at basketball most years.
And we are all worth $20 million less than USF, makes perfect sense.

This is the first time I've ever seen someone submit an open records request because of an Internet argument.

Hahaha I'm actually kind of curious what he response looks like.

Are you sure about that? Because NYC beat him to it, apparently. In case you missed it a few pages back:

this comes straight from Alabama directly, via open records

Uhhh yeah this is bull shite. I went to every single home game this year, minus LSU and Mississippi State (both which were sold out). It definitely wasn't anywhere close to the bull shite "4k" you claim.
This is vs A&M on a Wednesday night, game started at 6.

Sure looks like most of those seats are full.

I dunno, appears to be about 25% full to me

A&M was a top 20 team then. It should look like that.

So what explains it for when we had 10k for Tennessee on a night with terrible weather? Sell outs vs a bad Mississippi State team, Auburn, LSU, and a terrible Missouri team?
Let us not forget Bama had a game vs Oregon at Legacy Arena that was packed.
That whole "Bama just has 4k show up" is bull shite. But anything to put a bad image on Bama I guess.

Must be some very generous counting by the ticket takers because I was at the game in Coleman this past season and would say there wasn't even 4,000 there.

Still in NCAA picture for those two games. Changed after those games.
