I understand that Nevis is not back but this is still a better DL. I do believe our OL are bigger and more physical than your DE which is who I think we run the ball at similar to the 2009 game when we ran straight at Alem. Our passing game is just there to keep you homes and I don't think you cam stop our run game with your fromt seven. We will make our yds passing like every game with crossing routes and AJ ability to check down to Richardson is not the weakness that LSU fans think it is he is a viable receiving threatwith the ball in his hands. It wasn't considered a liability when Tebow dumped it off to their back in the mid to late 2000's

And yet LSU still has several d linemen of the same caliber this year. Def Line is better this year without Nevis

Y'all have repeated this so much, you believe it. Was North Texas really that dominant of a defense? I know you'll bring up Penn State, but their other opponents this season laugh at that statement.

Who have your opponents played? Who have the teams that played your opponents played? Who have the teams that played your opponents' opponents played?

Let's conveniently pick out 2009 to use
In 2008 LSU outrushed the Tide 201 to 138, and in 2010 225 to 102
I hate to tell you but this years offensive and defensive lines are much better than those units that whipped the Tide

Like yOu conveniently picked yrs when LSU was successful. He asked why was our OL better this yr I am using your 2009 DE not because I was aware of how many yds we had but because he was a fast but undersized DE who we felt we could take advantage of due to his lack of size; we certainly weren't going to beat him to the edge with speed. Un twist your panties and don't get so defensive because I suggest the best way to attack your Defense is where our strengths are and one of your weaknesses.

Well we return 4-5 and they're a year older, stronger, playing better as a unit. Last year is last year. Lsu won last year due to Bama's mistakes, 2 turnovers, got tricked on a Fake FG and had a blown coverage allowing an easy score. That shite aint gonna happen this year. The game is in T-Town, where we've only lost 1 game in 3 years. 24-13 Bama!

You used alem as an example. He couldn't hold montgomery's jock.

3 or 4 points is nothing but staging where the money gets put down on the game

Most would be wise not bet on a game like this

We are nothing but Freshman/Sophmores, across the line, esp. the interior. Not to say they aren't talented, but we are a year away from doing real damage, there, esp. against the Power teams like Bama. Its our biggest problem beside LB going into this game.....

LSU is a very talented team and I can see them winning this game if Bama doesn't play mistake free ball for 60 minutes but they have the gall to refer to Bama fans as arrogant and they are predicting a 20 point, and in some cases greater, victory Nov. 5. I find that laughable and a little disrespectful. I was at last years contest and it was anyone's game until the closing minutes. As a matter of fact, Bama won the first half and LSU won the second half and was rewarded with a 3 point win in their own house. I know the Tigers are better this year but so is Bama. I pull for the LSU when they aren't playing Bama and usually hate that one or the other has to lose this game but Tiger fans are making it easy to wish for their demise this year. You would think from their posting that LSU invented football and no one else belongs on the same field.

Yeah, our defenders had absolutely nothing to do with those mistakes.

Seriously, you should check and see which team is first in the SEC with +15 turnover margin. As good as we were last year at forcing "mistakes", we're even better this year.

OnLy undersized DE I could remember of yalls and he was the starter two yrs ago before Montgomery became the starter correct? It isn't like I had a long list to choose from.

Alem was one of the worst DE's we have had in many years against the run and Bama rightly attacked him in '09. Montgomery and Adams appear to be much better players than Alem at DE, with Montgomery looking like a future pro.

LSU and Bama are each others litmus test each season. Basically neither team plays another team all year that has enough talent to truly test every area of the team in terms of sheer physicality. Can our DE's stop the Bama's power running game? Can Bama's D-line hold their own against a truly talented O-line? We don't know because neither team has played against the kind of talent they will see on Nov. 5th. Thats why they are playing the game.

Don't know if anything has changed (besides Steen in place of Jones at RG) but our interior line has certainly looked better so far this season than last.

They have done well against other teams, so now we just have to see if they can block LSU better than they blocked them last year.

Well last year the five guys that started the opener on our offensive line didn't start together again until the bowl game. Obviously mixing and matching up front, whoever was in there never developed a chemistry. It was certainly the weakness holding back the offense. This year everybody's healthy, playing well together, and just simply better. They've also gotten better every game. Surprisingly, LSU isn't the only team that can improve year to year.
