They were both 10-2 at the end of the regular season. Notre Dame didn't beat anyone with a pulse . Bama had to go play an extra game against the team they already beat on the road, while ND sat at home. Your logic is flawed here.

Bama made it into the playoffs mostly for their first half of season performances and their strength of schedule. The 2nd half of the season they dealt with injuries and bi-polar OC-QB. They were did just enough to make it into the playoffs. Now that they are in and healed up, we'll see what they can do with their opportunity. Beating OU was the first step. But still not sure the QB and OC are not still head cases.
