Why should any passes be taken away? If that is the case, shouldn't ALL run-after-catch stats be put in the rushing column rather than in the QB passing stats?

so i guess because he didnt have a great game against what people called "the best defense LSU has ever had" then he is all of a sudden average, even though he definitely got his revenge on that same vaunted defense.

No he is avg because of his stats and performance.i can't believe we are still having this Arguement. If any I you Bama poster think he is top 3 , you're dumb period. No one but Bama fans say this. That should tell you something.

AJ may or may not be a top 3 QB in the SEC by some arbitrary standard...but I can honestly say I wouldn't trade him for any QB in the SEC. He is exactly what we need...Greg McElroy with a strong arm. Dude threw for almost 2,700 yards, 16 TD's(2 more rushing) against only 4 picks. And led us to a BCS NC...as a sophomore 1st year starter. Yeah, I like our guy...you can keep yours.

HOLY shite. ok I know I can ignore your football opinion from now on. Wouldn't trade him for TWilson? frickin Bama fans!

Bruh professional kickers make 45 yard fg 60% of the time. They weren't gimme kicks. You Bama fans act they were missing 30 yard chip shots. you it's not AJ fault that RRandle ha more Tds than his whole receiving corp combined.

Not related to this current conversation, but in general, having two serperate passing stats (QB - receiver yarrds and yards-after-reception) would be a good criteria with different weights for QB efficiency rating.

Yes we have. You just won't accept it because it rapes your Arguement. Krenzel sucked and won MVP. DEAL WITH IT.

Herp derp...

Rueben Randle - 8TDs
Alabama's receiving corps - 13TDs

I think you misunderstood what he was saying. The guy would prefer a player who can make throws and yet not make mistakes to a play maker who makes mistakes and puts the defense in bad situations.

Since Saban has been here I don't think any of our quarterbacks have thrown a pick six. I would like it to stay that way.

Athlon says he is #3 LINK

ESPN ranked him #3 here LINK

I think #3~5 are close enough to be interchanged, #1 and #2 are a cut above.

Bruh if you think 2 yard swing passes to trich ( then trich runs for 60) is the same as throwing a 40 yard bomb to a receiver , then be my guest.

Top 3 is most definitely not a stretch. McCarron is a proven QB who can make decisive throws under pressure. Add to that the fact that he will probably have the best all around receiving corps an Alabama QB has had in a long time to throw to, and I think you have the makings of a potential 1st Team All-SEC performance.

Wilson is a good QB, but please point out to me the last college QB in Petrino's offense that had low passing stats? That's right, you can't. Even the terrible 1st QB he had at Arky had good stats. It's PETRINO's system. Who knows how good Wilson would be in another offense? We already know McCarron can be great in Bama's scheme, so no..wouldn't trade him.

I'm not your "bruh" and production is production. Using the TEs, H-backs, and RBs are a pivotal part of the Alabama offense.

Clear sign of winning an Arguement on SECRANT. The other posters posting ," you mad ". I'm not a Bama fan. My own sports accomplishments are enough that I don't need a game played by kids , a decade younger than me, define me as a person. You Bama fans on the other hand!

Oh...you mean like the 40 yard bomb he threw on the money to Norwood in the BCS National Championship Game? Or how about the 40 yard bomb he threw to Bell in the Iron Bowl?

So you think a two yard pass ( where the receivers run for 40 yards) is the same as a 40 yards throw over the middle. There is a reason the NFL is trying to take yards after catch away from the qb.
