guess what, Craig Krenzel, who yall are saying is an average QB, beat the mighty Miami Hurricanes who were absolutely stacked on both sides of the ball, he's better than you are giving him credit for.
also, he didnt win the BCS MVP because of his 7-21 passing effort with 2 ints. He won because he had 19 carries for 81 yards and 2 rushing TDs.

Rickdaddy does have a point. A good QB would have to be able to make longer passes like smash routes rather than just screen passes. There is no way a good coach would ever put the game plan on the shoulders of an average game manager QB when they were facing one of the best defenses in the nation in the championship game.
By all of Rickdaddy's "Deal with it" logic, AJ is nothing more than a game manager so there is no way that the LSU defense was worth a damn if that average QB could pick them apart like he did.

He is a qb who had a very avg game. You said avg qb don't win MVP awards. You have been weighed and measured and have been found wanting!

So you think AJ mcarron is a top 3 qb? His stats don't say that. Sooner or later you are what your stats say you are !

Who cares why he won it? He was, at best, an average quarterback during that season. There's no reason to argue otherwise just to fit your argument for McCarron.

I was simply in agreement with you that LSU's defense must suck.

Did you not see his game on nov 5th? Less than 50% completions and 120 yards of passing that wasn't swing passes.
Also he played well on jan9th. I've never said he wasn't good. Just that he is a game manager. Why is that such a slap in the face to you gunts? He has done everything asked of him.

AJ had a very good year as a 1st year starter. He showed later in the year potential to be much more. Attempting to say he IS a top QB has yet to be proven. I hope he proves that to be the case this year but time will tell.

I was just having fun using your own arguments to poke at you

In the bowl game the receivers had to make some acrobatic catches. But the important thing is he placed the ball where either his guy caught it or it was incomplete...not intercepted. This is important to Saban and is why I think the O will open it up a bit more in 2012.

he was better than average based on his accomplishments. yall can sit here and say oh he was average, but he's sitting at home with a ring and an MVP award that say differently.

We should just accept the fact that McCarron can't beat a team when it's put on his shoulders. Oh, wait...
Meanwhile, the wannabe Roethlisberger has never started a SEC game.

It's not 'ya'll', it's his actual performance through the year. I think it's agreed he stepped up in bowl game.

Neiko Thorpe won MVP in some games and has a ring. What's your point?

In truth, he stepped his play up a little each week after the 1st LSU game. The last step was just the biggest one with more time between games to prep.

is Thorpe a QB of a BCS Championship winning team?
My point is Krenzel has earned the accolades that prove him to be better than average and for you to sit back and dismiss his accomplishments because you think it proves that AJ McCarron is just average is stupid.

MSU (163 yds) , GSU (190 yds) and AU (184 yds)?

Yes LSU's defense sucked because a qb with a month to prepare had a decent game against us. Hell Geno Smith must be all world if Mcarron is great. I guess his Nov.5th game is just erased from your memory. Damn you gunts have shut out the fact that you went 1-1 against LSU last year.

Meh, let the fapfest continue. To the OP, for a way too early pick, I'd say Wilson, Bray then Robinson, taking into account known quantities only.

He had an avg year. Not good not bad. Avg 16tds in 14 games isn't good, it's meh. Had any other teams' qb's put up the exact same stats as AJ , you Bama fans would be laughing at the poster who said the qb was top 3.
