Bama fans, what's the deal with the black guy who carries Saban's Gatorade cup?

He's been doing this at least two years and it seems like it's always the same guy. Is he a coach or this a volunteer position?

His name is Cedric Burns. He is assistant to the head coach. He has had the position for over 30 years.

If he's actually a PA to Saban I'm sure he is. I didn't know if he was actually on staff like an equipment manger or something. He's ALWAYS there and he reminds me of our assistant equpiment manager Grigus who was ALWAYS standing behind Les.

I met him for the first time when I was in 6th grade - back when he was holding Mike DuBose’s Gatorade cup.

He's the Athletic Relations Coordinator, Cedric Burns, makes 130k plus a year and worth every penny. He gets CNS to sign items at events and the fans love him.
