While I would generally tend to agree, a few good things happened when Jones and Jimmy Johnson got together. They may have been pissed at each other half the time, but it worked.

That said I put the Saban to Dallas talk at about a 5% chance of happening.

There is .0000000001% chance that he will go back to NFL. He has proven that he can't coach in the pros.

People said the same thing about Pete Carroll and where is he now? Granted, he had a little extra incentive to leave USC...

I hate when people post that shite, "rumor has it". Well, a rumor cannot be proven right or wrong without evidence.

My. God...Are you telling me that a man deeply involved in the game of football is actually going to attend possibly the biggest football game ever held at his alma mater, where he played football years ago???

Well, I guess we can kiss Saban goodbye...

LOL, LSU fans are so obsessed with this. If he leaves, he leaves. It would suck but as long as we don't make an awful hire we should be ok.

Nervous about how we'll do in the next 3 weeks. Do not give a frick about this.

Nick Saban and Jerry Jones would have the personality clash of the universe. No way Jerry would give total control to Nicky... and even if Nicky wanted to go to the NFL, which I doubt he does, he wouldn't go unless he had control like he did at Miami, Alabama, et al.

I totally agree. I think the odds of Nick leaving for the NFL are less than him taking a job at a different school.

Nick is the most happy he has ever been at Bama in his career, so I doubt he bolts for any job anytime soon. He has rebuilt Bama, and has them at the pinnacle of CFB.

For all those who think Saban will not go back to the NFL I just want you to know you don't know how Nick Saban thinks and works.

He has no interest in repeating the Miami Dolphin's fiasco and he won't. His failure in Miami and how it all ended eats at him every day he thinks about it. Since Jerry Jones has had Bill Parcells as coach he knows exactly what he is dealing with in Nick Saban. Jerry Jones is the best salesman of all the NFL coaches. If he wants Nick Saban it's as good as done. Saban would love to take over the very high profile Dallas Cowboy franchise and win a Super Bowl. Sound familiar???

Think how entertaining it would be though. Talking non-stop entertainment, talk show value.

Plus I am pretty sure within the first year, JJ would get super pissed about something and come down to the sidelines to rip Saban a new arse. At which point Saban would erupt and try to kill Jones. Not sure what would happen after that. Saban is small, but Jones is old.

Pure speculation. I guess you know how Nick Saban thinks better than everyone else.

yeah, we get it. u know him. he was your coach.

but he's OUR coach more recently, and we're more aware of how he is than YOU are sir! ;)

Saban doesn't want to consider himself a loser at something... you're right. but let me tell you something else! he knows he wasn't the reason the dolphins didn't win tons of games for his short tenure there. but why risk going back to the NFL when you could make a LEGENDARY name for yourself?

naw, i'll stay on my side of the fence and have faith that i KNOW without actually being Saban that we keep him.

if he leaves, good luck to him! genuinely, i have NOTHING but respect and positive feelings for the Sabans.

Without getting into why this "rumor" is ridiculous to be throwing around why would anyone want to see Jerry Jones succeed?

Interesting. Huzinga too opened up his checkbook to Saban (to remain with the Dolphins) and Saban told him no thanks.

I will be shocked if this comes to pass and Saban accepts. Saban claimed the reason he returned to college ball was to help mold kids where as the NFL'ers can't be molded.

Saban leaving would suck but there's always a bright side and in this case it would be not having at least one thread a day from rantards about Little Nicky leaving.

Tiger Fans had nothing but respect for Nick Saban when he left for the Dolphins. It all changed when he took the job at a division rival. If he comes back to the SEC again after leaving Bama and coaches at Auburn or LSU I think you just might have a change of heart.
