Wrong.
Bama had an argument based on ONE criteria- their 3-1 record vs teams ranked in the top 25 - that they deserved to be in the playoffs.
But other criteria, including their 3-2 record vs teams .500 or below, worked against them.
Additionally, the fact that they lost to an unranked 6-6 team by THREE TOUCHDOWNS while only scoring 3 points themselves was their doom.
At the end of the day (excluding how it would have effected those teams records) Bama would have a better argument for the playoffs it had lost to say, LSU and South Carolina instead of Vandy and Oklahoma, and was 3-3 vs ranked teams 6-0 vs everyone else because then, they could argue three losses were valid.

Deserve no but one of the 12 best yes. Everything from oklahomas schedule to Georgias schedule to Texas easy schedule to the sec getting pantsed by the the ACC and big ten in the CFP. He sucks at his job and should be fired. Everyone applying last years top 12 rankings and making the playoff matchups look great didn’t apply the rules set in place by the playoff committee and now we’ve got a farce of a playoff system.

Speak for yourself. If I felt they were far and away the best resume, I wouldn't take pleasure in it. I've had a good laugh at some of the reasons they give for why they are much better and how they try to cover up that November trip to Norman.

Texas doesn't even have a ranked win this season. Despite playing in the toughest conference, somehow shitty arse Clemson is going to be your 2nd most difficult opponent of the season. Georgia beat them 34-3 already.
