Because a true sophomore is fighting a fifth year senior for a spot? The same one he had already beaten out for the spot in 2010, as a true freshman.

Milliner is an outside Corner, he's not what you want at Nickle. Phelon is more built to go up against shift slot WRs.
You play Milliner on the tall WRs so he can use his above average height and elite speed to match up with them...

frick YOU! I hope he trips over his face.

I wish him the best of luck, and I'll believe he has improved till he shows me otherwise. Glad he has a chance to start. He just better remember who he was first come November.

He wasn't good enough to start at lsu so he HAD to go to bama to get playing time

He started three games at LSU, but hasn't at Alabama.
See, I can do that too.

He clearly got better coaching at LSU if that was the case. Your move

Or LSU was more desperate.
This can go round and round.

With all Milliners promise and natural skills he's blown more coverages and allowed more big game changing pass plays than anyone on the Tide D. I expect Phelon to win the spot.

Really hope the best for Phelon. Glad to see him finally put it 2gether, even if it wasnt for LSU. Lol I really think this is a good testament to the kinda man Les Miles is. Wat other coach would allow a former big time recruit a chance to rejuvenate his career at a rival school??

phelon wasn't good enough to be our dime back but he was only a rs freshman at the time. now he's a 5th year senior. i would hope he'd be a much better player by now.

I agree that most coaches would not have done that.

Who names their kid Phelon? Is it really pronounced the same as Felon?

Phelon Jones has been practicing with the ones (Menzie and Kirkpatrick) since the last scrimmage.
Wow, that guy would not sniff the 3 deep at LSU.

Yes, a guy who had 3 starts at LSU before transferring to Alabama wouldn't sniff the three deep now.
