We passed a law making interfering with an amatuer athlete a crime.
Very least it makes them not want to brag about it.

If any of ya'll want Cody to sign something, just send it Maryland Department of Corrections: Baltimore County Jail. If you're feeling generous, please feel free to make a donation to his commissary account. Big feller gets hongry.

Did Kirby take the media propaganda machine with him to Georgia?
I think the gloves may be off now. Georgia folks better duck and cover and get ready for the coming blast.

I have never understood why people want an autograph from anyone, much less an athlete.
It's the ability to make physical contact by touching the ink

that plastic football just for you or your kid.

They hammered Ohio State for lying and covering it up. Bama will take the appropriate course of action, which is actively refusing to give a shite.

For current players, for game-worn jerseys and trophies, for significantly more money, and they lied about it.

Statuette of limitations or something or other.
But good try.

Uhhh....maybe it had to do with Jim Tressel knowing
about the selling of at least $14-thousand in
memorabilia and trading for tats and allowing
it to continue...just maybe.

Emmert = Free Pass.
If someone would actually do a story connecting Emmert and Saban and comparing all the violations Bama has committed under Saban to the violations other schools got nailed for then the NCAA might actually do something to Bama to cover their own butts. Until then it's just another thing on the long list of violations Bama has committed since 07.

Even if the players admitted they took a couple hundred dollars (some have already denied this claim).
There's literally nothing that can be done now.
If they were current players, because it was under a certain dollar amount, they would just be ordered to pay it back...much like a player did with the assistant strength coach a few years ago when he needed money to go home and attend a family funeral.
Also, the appetite to punish players for getting money for things like autographs is not there anymore. The environment in the media that the NCAA takes advantage of athletes while they make $1 billion...just from a PR standpoint the public wouldn't stand for it.
Not in an NCAA landscape where Miami gets off for buying hookers and UNC getting off for creating bogus classes for athletes.
If it doesn't involve buying recruits, the NCAA doesn't care.
