If league average starting TE stats are disappointing, then sure.

When you are picked 19th overall, teams want more than average production. I would think any reasonable Bama or Bucs fan would agree Howard has been a disappointment in the pros.

Not a bust as far as I'm concerned. How many tight ends have won MVP in the national championship game?

Being a bust in the pros has nothing to do with success at the amateur level.

You know LSU fans have officially run out of straws to grasp when they've been reduced to "LSU may have lost ten out of the last eleven to Alabama and failed to post a winning season for the past two years, but this Alabama first round draft pick who annihilated our secondary a few years back only earned $17 million in the NFL!"

You can never take the fact he was 4-0 against JeaLSU away from him.

So we're talking about professional football on the SEC Rant. Why? All I care about on this board is what the dude did at Alabama.

To be fair, would you want to talk about college football if you were an LSU fan?

It’s 50/50 when you draft anyone in the first round.

If so, he'll soon realize this, along with hoping your former players that transferred have no success, is all normal behavior for a fanbase as sad as LSU's.

yeahh that was pretty dumb considering Doug Martin had turned into a shell of his self in 2016, and they already had a good TE in Brate.

I know that Martin had signed a pretty big contract through 2020 with the Bucs before the 2016 season though.

I guess they thought that OJ could be a huge offensive for them.

For a TE I can't call that a bust.
