Apparently you don’t know the difference between what Auburn has on the court as far as experience and what Bama does. Bama has a lot of seniors that had never played together before this year. AU has a group that has along with a couple of young guards that are very good. Hopefully Nate can get some bigs to go along with the young talent coming up.

As a Bama fan it’s just nice to have some consistency and I don’t know why it’s such a bad thing to be optimistic about the future. I knew AU would be very good this year and with what Bama lost from last year’s team Bama overachieved.

Nate Oats overachieved with this group and some of you morons say he can't coach.

Oats has had a good defensive team every year except this one. BAMA just doesn't have the squad. Oats did a great job assembling what he put together and taking this group as far as he did after BAMA lost everything off the loaded 2023 group. Great thing is, this is probably the floor Oats. That's how good he is.

You were #24 preseason & picked 5th in SEC.

You were #19 last poll & 5th in the SEC.

Auburn finished with the 4 seed and Bama was ranked higher, yet somehow we finished 5th in the SEC? AU basketball fans are the gift that keeps on giving.

We had three players off last year's team return, one of those being starter. Filled the entire roster with transfers and true freshman. It's outstanding that BAMA basketball has reached a height with Oats that sets the bar so high with a group like this one.

When Auburn has a down year with Pearl, they're not competitive and miss the tournament.

When BAMA has a down year with Oats, they nearly win the conference and go to the tournament.

4-way tie for 2nd in conference, worst overall record of those 4 teams

tiebreaker got you the number 3 seed over AU due to your head-to-head vs Florida

hope that worked out for yall

The team that finishes 5th in the SEC plays on Thursday. I know that’s hard for you to understand and that you’re new to basketball fandom, but try to keep up.

This is what I’ve been say for a couple years. He recruits outside shooters. His game plan is to throw up as many threes a game as humanly possible. No D, no offensive strategy

That’s why 2 of the last 3 years they have been in the top 5 nationally in defense…..but again…..carry on with the false narrative! Are ya’ll Democrats?? Lulz

Oats is a good coach but top 5 money is crazy. Dude has folded every year when it matters

It's gonna be nice when Bruce finally hangs it up and they slink back to irrelevance as is their tradition.

Sick burn. Surely AU’s coach has more SECT championships than Bama’s who couldn’t get his team to show up on Friday. No?

Surely he’s won the tournament at least once since Bama’s coach arrived, right? No again?? How embarrassing.

Surely he can at least win this one now that AU is the only team left that didn’t play on Thursday, right? Surely a program and coach of your caliber can win this tournament and get out of the first round of the NCAAT for the first time since their daddy arrived in Ttown…it is, after all, their best chance in years.

Let’s not sound like LSU and AU football fans. AU has shifted focus to bball, has a new quaint arena, and has SEC money. They’ll likely get a decent replacement coach and have the usual up and downs as a newly arrived mid tier SEC program.

That said, Bruce isn’t exactly scaring a bunch of SEC coaches. They’re much more worried about Oats than Bruce, as evidenced by the last few years. Look at how many times Oats gets mentioned in this board vs. Bruce, that tells you all you need to know about which one is feared more in SEC country.

I don't think they know how to hire a coach without digging through the pile of show cause firings.

Ok. AU basketball fans are really entertaining when they get a little taste of success, so it’s fun to keep poking. Thanks for playing
