germans. btw, it's not a slap on the f'kin wrist. it's just not gonna hurt our progress.

you see how it feels to have some dumbass kids give some books away for free and have 21 of your wins taken from you.

i don't understand why folks haven't really thought about it from the bama fan's perspective.

it was a punishment. it sucks. i want the wins back. i hope the appeal works. there, i said it.

it was a slap on the wrist. The sports that were the main abusers were not punished, that is what the downside is. it didn't hurt any part of the kids or the university.

i don't even know how the other sports were affected. i don't care. i know about how the football program has been affected... and this i care about. SUCH a little action for a stinging response. i'm glad we're appealing and i hope we get to claim those wins back.

they hooked friends up with books. damn... to take 21 wins away for that is absurd... there is no competitive advantage! our football program benefited from that ZILCH.

kids misbehave. kids were sat out and punished.. come on... 21 wins?! balogna.

Give up some Barner wins because of SACS, then.

Here's a link to FSU's appeal...

NCAA says "the vacation of records penalty should be upheld."

It's almost like there was a history of cheating they were looking at. How unfair.

Sorry you got a slap on the wrist, every sports writer in the nation said this was a joke. 201 kids getting extra books you had to pay a fine of nearly 50k for the "extra" books that no one sold but are missing *boggle*.

I didn't think football should bear the brunt of it, T&F had at times half and in some cases 3/4ths of its scholarshipped athletes getting the extra books. These were untouched and that is what I'm disappointed in, there was no punishment of the real rule breakers in this case.

The punishment should stand as it was the only punishment, it is a joke and hurts no one but 2 coach's pride.

Why the hell is taking some wins away all that bad? Its not like the Bowden situatio where he's chasing a record.

And YOU! YOU give up all of your wins the years that Leonard Little and Donte Stallworth were playing at Tennessee because I damn sure know that they were drinking while underage which IS illegal I would venture that THAT affects on-field performance a lot more than an athlete giving away a textbook.

I'd say that vacating the approximately 60 wins from UT during the years those two were Vols should be a sufficient slap on the wrist.

See? That didn't hurt, did it???

SEC championships and a lot more wins is a different story. Not to mention, you got caught.

If we're taking away wins for probable/suspected cheating, Bama has won about 2 games in their history.

Oh that's right...your boy turned state's witness to have some UT academic fraud issues swept under the rug. Got it!

Hmmm...and Tennessee would probably have the same, or less.

Honestly, your punishment isn't that bad, didn't you only have like 2 wins one year? Omg give them back!!
