SC worked hard to shed itself of the party school label after being named the #1 party school a couple of times back in the 70s and 80s by Playboy.

It’s not exactly the best label that can be placed on a institution of higher learning these days. Matter of fact, a lot of parents of student athletes are wary of the so-called party schools these days. You wanna have fun but you don’t want the bad influences, heavy drinking and drugs, etc.

Still yet, I get the fascination and pride associated with being named a top party school for the younger crowd.... but times are a changin’.

UGA gets a boost because of all the Auburn kids who drive over there on the weekends to moonlight as potential transfer students

I grew up and have lived in Houston basically my entire life and don’t know a single person who attended Houston Baptist or know where it is. It is absolutely hilarious it is on this list and invalidates the entire thing to me

That 74% acceptance rate looks good on you LSU.

Excellent point scrooster.

School is where you get an education!

I'll have my fun at birthday celebrations and midnight bowling!

Tennessee is not in the top 50. I didn't expect that. What has changed since I was there?

Thought this would be weird, and I was right.

Either your old arse mis-remembered, or more likely, you're full of shite. Again.
It took thirty seconds to find that Playboy never did that.
Embarrassing that you find this inconsequential story something to lie about, but we shouldn't be surprised anymore.

List only includes college party schools, we shed our amateur status in 1996

Bama has some of the lowest standards in the state of Alabama. At least they used to when they were basically letting everyone in to get their enrollment up. Not sure how it stands now, I just know when I applied there out of high school about 10 years ago, I was really surprised how low the standard was.

Rest of the nation funnels like amateurs. You gotta get your numbers up, those are rookie numbers.
