Bama has some of the lowest standards in the state of Alabama. At least they used to when they were basically letting everyone in to get their enrollment up. Not sure how it stands now, I just know when I applied there out of high school about 10 years ago, I was really surprised how low the standard was.

As opposed to which schools in Alabama?

I honestly can't believe anyone could read this article and then have the thought that it's a good idea to pass along its trash to another forum.

Acceptance rate for instate students doesn’t mean much for LSU. They tell the students what GPA and ACT is required. You either have them and apply or don’t bother to apply and go to USL, etc.

UAB, Auburn, all the privates. As I stated before, this was when I applied 10 years ago when Alabama was trying to get enrollment up. Maybe they've curbed this. But it was pretty low then.

what is the ACT Score of those rejected? Every person who is a Tide fan with a GED applies to Bama and hopes to get in and get cheap tickets and to party on the Strip. Thus the lower acceptance rate. Plus they can frame their rejection letter and place it next to the framed Dogs playing Poker.

UA acceptance rate: 54%
AU acceptance rate: 84%
UAB acceptance rate: 60%
Samford acceptance rate: 93%
University of Mobile acceptance rate: 60%

Partying is in Louisiana's culture as a state. LSU is a party school, always has been and that won't change lol. Don't give a shite.

Sure do.

The conversation started over acceptance rates and y'all have been trying to move the goal posts ever since.

Seems like you have a hard time admitting that Alabama is doing alright as a University. I don't have that problem with Auburn. Both are good to great at what they're doing.

LSU....eh...lol

32

My guess any two scores combined wouldn’t equal 32 or more.

Nah, I didn't state anything about acceptance rates. I was talking about admissions standards. Completely different topic.

I stated that their standards were low when I applied 10 years ago. I also stated that maybe they have changed these standards.
