And what I’m saying is all you’ve done on this board is pump Bama for days in a row. You’re not a Clemson fan it’s pretty obvious.

I hope this is not what the committee is doing. Obviously "I just believe" isn't going to cut it. Records and who you've beaten have to matter. I say this because it's possible to have a 2 loss SEC team that's "one of the best teams in the country" and they're not getting in over an undefeated Pac 12 champ. It becomes too subjective when the only criteria you have is eye test and vegas odds.

If Orgeron winsoit and wins their conference championship, they jump Bama. It’s just that simple. They will have higher quality wins especially if Georgia beats Auburn.

Higher quality wins + more quality wins + conference championship > quality loss + no real quality win + no conference championship

This committee has gone full eye test. Dont expect any consistency to be identifiable with best win worst loss sos etc.

If we're saying it's the 4 best teams, there's no way you can say a team from the PAC 12 is one of the best teams in the country. Not when their best win is another team from the PAC 12 who also hasn't had a big win

Use the same criteria for everybody, don't just single Bama out because you hope LSU doesn't have to play them again

I think ranking Georgia ahead of Bama is evidence against this.

I'm trying. You're apparently not understanding.

If Oregon and Utah play each other as top 10 teams in a 13th game at the end of the season, that has to matter. That's taking the subjectivity and past achievements out of the equation.

Imagine an ACC champion Clemson team, who lost their first game of the season on the road to Auburn, won 12 straight games, beat a no. 6 Miami team to end the season and missed the playoff to a one loss Oklahoma, who lost at home and didn't even play in their conf title game.

When you take the name Alabama out of the conversation, things start to clear up a bit.

No, I believe under this system, every game matters. It's exactly why Greg Sankey said the CFP committee doesn't want to expand beyond 4 teams. They want games like Bama-LSU to have major playoff implications...to be an elimination game if you will.

There are going to be multiple teams with one loss at the end of the year along with Bama vying for a spot, so yes, schedule and opponent records and most importantly wins all have to be considered.

Clemson has a creampuff schedule. But they've been doing what they should to those creampuffs and no one questions that if they win out they're in.

For my money, I let a one loss conference champ in over a one loss non-conference champ every day. Those championship games have to matter all the time, or never...not selectively in an effort to cherry pick which teams pass the "eye test" which is better known as: totally subjective bias.

That's total bs. OSU lost 1 game last year and won the conference. THEY were left out because of a bad loss. It was the same thd year before.

They lost by 4 TDs

2014 Ohio State lost to 5-7 Virginia Tech at home they made the playoffs.
2016 Clemson lost at home to 6-6 Pitt they got in also.

So this isnt unprecedented

But, if Auburn routs Georgia and beats the snot out of Alabama? Crazy time.

LSU wins out and is crowned unanimous National Champions by "The Committee" making playoffs unnecessary, irrelevant, and redundant. LSU completely breaks college football in its final season as a putative amateur sport.

Multiple SEC officials, referees and crews do prison time after lengthy comprehensive investigations into pro-Alabama bias. Nick Saban retires with a Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep dealership chain in West Virginia. The Crimson Tide hire Bobby Petrino as head football coach with a multi year contract for eighty million because "he can win football games".

Who has Oregon or Utah beat this year? Bama is gonna beat the team that has given Oregon their one loss, which will be a better win than either one of those teams have

Okay. How's this? It's funny how people harp about Alabama's weak schedule then throw it out when it suits them. Better? It doesn't change my point. besides...please don't try to sell that LSU and Alabama has a pretty heated rivalry going, so LSU fans mention it more than others. Add to that that there are more LSU fans on this site and...well, hopefully you get my point.

My post was not intended to cast a bad light onLSU fans so much as to point out that we change narratives to suit our agenda. Yes. All of us.

LSU just needs to worry about beating Uga in the championship because the committee won’t be taking a two loss SEC champion, and your chances would be hurt with one loss and no SEC title. You all are not Bama and get a pass.
