Not one appealing game for the prime spot. Geez... are they just tanking it so they can get a lower contract next time or has Fox decided to give CBS the worse possible match ups? Geez....

I miss CBS but the primetime SEC game being on ABC at 7:30 makes the current set up so much better.

was sort of hoping that SEC/CBS contract would be renewed, because CBS production values were better than ABCs. That game was a real showcase for the conference.

This is where I'll disagree. There is plenty of nostalgia for the SEC/CBS theme song, but I sure as shite do not miss how CBS featured the same 4 schools week after week. The conference is, and always has been, deeper than that, but you wouldn't know it from CBS. And, for good reason - the only had the rights to one game. What did they care about the conference as a whole?

ABC did a far better job with their SEC inventory last season. They went were the most compelling games were, highlighted the atmosphere, and made every game feel like an event. CBS gargled donkey balls at this.

People going to be real upset about that and do the kiss the ring bit as cope. The problem for them is he's 100% correct. The SEC has won 13 titles this century with 5 different teams winning those titles while the Big Ten has 4 national titles this century with 2 teams winning those titles. Even if you add current membership's titles, it doesn't change the calculus all that much:

SEC 15 titles in the 21st century across 7 teams

Big Ten 6 titles in the 21st century across 3 teams.

Michigan and Ohio State are good (if not great at times) teams, no doubt.

But it cannot be overstated how advantageous it is to play absolutely no one until essentially the final game of the season, entering conference tournaments and playoffs virtually unscathed and overwhelmingly healthy.

The grind of a competitive regular season takes its toll, which should be obvious to anyone with common sense.

Every onced in a while, when you don't expect it, Okie Lite has a sneaky good team. I'd love to see them punk Oregon.

With Brad and Gary finally calling it a career, that cool intro music is about all CBS has to offer. The amount of money CBS had to pay for last season's football schedule is laughable.

Not just no, but hell no. ABC/ESPN was a breath of fresh air. Games were spread out better throughout the day this past season, and having the prime game of each Saturday generally be a night game was a far, far better viewing experience. Plus the Fowler/Herbstreit combo is light years better than Brad and Gary.

The two things aren't connected. SEC left CBS well before the CBS big 10 deal.

I really don't miss CBS as much as I thought just think it's funny as short of 4 schools in the big, no one cares

The SEC is the most top-heavy conference.
