We are in the AAU so that makes the conference look pretty good. I think that is what StoneHog was referring to.

How can A&M be a guaranteed win for A&M?

He must be talking about the spring game. I've never heard of anyone taking sides for it, though.

Hey DanTanna86, welcome.
The schools from the Southern part of the SEC are pretty cool here. The hillpigs from NW Arkansas love, love, love to troll. It's in their hillpig DNA or something.

If aTm goes 6-6 every year they are still the better addition. One school gave the SEC the media markets of the nation's 2nd biggest state. Give them time and I think they can reach an Auburn/Arkansas level and at least be competitive against Alabama and LSU most years.

A&M is a potential sleeping giant if they could get an actual coaching staff worth a damn. Their upside is WAY higher than that of Arkansas. We simply don't have the recruiting grounds to hang with a Texas school.
If Saban, Miles, Petrino, Spurrier, Richt, Chizik, and even potentially others were the coach at A&M right now they would be competing for a national championship within 3 years of joining the conference.

Texas A&M is rich in tradition when it comes to all sports,
I don't mind admitting that I know little about Texas A&M's athletic history in any sport but thanks to an Arky fan's 2 minute research I learned that A&M is 2-10 all time in the CWS so I know that the quoted statement is untrue.

i wanted clemson for selfish reasons but mainly because i don't think mizzou is a good enough team to warrant the loss of Alabama vs Tennessee and Georgia vs Auburn. i wanted many teams before mizzou but the stupid ACC went and expanded too so they stayed

To give the ACC credit, which I never do, getting any one of those ACC originals away from that conference is nearly impossible to do. Not to mention even if Clempson is better than Mizzou in football most years that still wouldnt bring in the $ where dividing it 14 ways would still be an increase for everyone. I know its hard to believe but Clemmons closest city, Greenville, SC, can't really match St. Louis or Kansas City.
Little trivia here: Who is the only team to ever leave the ACC once joining? The S.Carolina Gamecocks.

And its exactly why the whole "Clempson as a possible candidate into the SEC" should've never been considered as much as it was.
