It is a a quarterly periodical, but each degree discipline sends out newsletters with money requests. AU contributions are not usually made to a General Fund. The School of Engineering is the richest school on campus.

In 2017 our boosters destroyed the program for the next 5-6 years when they extended Malzahn to that ridiculous contract.
They destroyed the program for likely another 5-6 years by destroying Harsin in January 2022.
Sucks to be an Auburn football fan at the moment. At least we have Bruce.

Fair. But their suckage is very different. One stirs the pot and has to have the last word and the other is just stupid.

I mean their biggest booster probably isn’t opening up his check book again until Harsin is gone so they gotta go panhandle.

CurlyPubs3 you are not #1 on list but you are close. LOL

I like Bama's AD's take on NIL at the Spring meetings, which was that the NCAA's NIL restrictions are illegal under under Federal antitrust law. (Yes, of course they are.) He later implied Bama folks need not pay heed to the the NCAA's illegal rules, in part because no one can tell fact from fiction, anyway lol

The NCAA are toothless when it comes to NIL. The only way they can restrict the amount of NIL is to attach requirements to their scholarships or reduce scholarship limits (50 total).

Agree that the NCAA is toothless. But outside of congressional intervention (which ain't coming), the only way they can immunize themselves from antitrust liability is to bargain with the players.
How are the non-collegiate pro leagues able to cap this or that? By bargaining with the players. Courts recognize such agreements as reasonable restraints on trade. That's the the non-statutory labor exemption to antitrust.

The Pros bargain with the players when the players form an organization that reps the players. Why would the players do that when they have the upper hand ?
The NCAA could reduce the scholarship numbers and it would force the NIL money to pay for tuition, room and board for those not on scholarship. Schools would love that and the NCAA would show they have the upper hand.
