I actually get Auburn fans anger. I mean Harsin was a stupid hire then they try to run him off well after there were any candidates to hire.

Agreed. If you are an Aub, how could you have any confidence in the decision makers or the AD? And those are definitely not the same.

Harsin was not going to be fired and money wasn't going to prevent it. AU had to investigate the allegations that people in the AD made against Harsin. If they were true, he would have been gone without any payout. The people who supported Steele tried to make it public and it backfired. No money was not an issue.
I heard Clesi Crochet (Harsin’s assistant) was let go and Auburn paid her a $30,000 severance package. She’s been enjoying a nice beach vacation on that $$.

"We need to compete, and win in the NIL era."

And that right there is why college football has crossed the Rubicon.

The whole thing was cringe worthy.

I find myself having less and less interest in college football. And it is not just because we will suck this year, but it is because it is all starting to feel like the NFL lite.

I read that Auburn "got their man" from an inside source on this very website, though.

Unless the guy who wrote that was a complete tool who's full of shite and wrong about literally every single thing that is.

Do you think college football will survive if only a few “big dogs” buy most of the best players every year?

What? What teams made the playoff each year before NIL?

The big money people will have to pay for the NIL and infrastructure at the rich schools. It will be either or at most of the schools. The average contributors will be covering the overhead.

Most fans are not willing to pay big bucks for NIL. And some schools are whistling through the graveyard thinking their fanbase can keep up with the big dollar schools (A&m,Texas, UF and USCw)
How many NIL collectives does Auburn currently have? Auburn NIL, Friends of Auburn, and your players were recently asking for $$ for their own player run collective.

No it’s not, but the fact that she’s no longer Harsin’s ASSistant after those rumors 4 months ago is interesting.

No, it neutered Bama's advantage. Bama thrived on under the table payments and they are a fraction of what the NIL Money will be. Bama will not be able to keep up with many schools.

How much do you think the NIL annual budget will be to compete with A&m, Texas and USC? I am amazed by some of the Bammmers who haven't got a clue.

Am I to understand the AD trying to broaden the funding base of Auburn's NIL programs is a bad thing

AU Money is waiting for AU to right the ship. Some like Harsin's no-nonsense approach but are still taking a wait and see approach.

Still will not see the obvious. Again, tell us what you think is needed annually for NIL.

Is Yella Fella broke? He’s the tech guy you referred to, right?

Most on here do not understand that the AD makes one on one calls for the real money. Doesn't push out a video to get the millions needed, especially in football.

Nope and Nope. Yella Fella is actually contributing to the Academic side of Auburn more than the Athletic side. He is doing the right thing in his later years.
