But to say Au has any more talent than, UT,A&M, USCe, esp Ga, esp LSU, and maybe even OM is grasping for straws.

I think you may be missing the point of the article and thread. Also, I'm not sure why you would consider such a statement grasping for straws.

You're right, and so is my spreadsheet on that. I looked at the wrong cell.

so by your criteria, if Arkansas's Senior 3-star center - who Bielema says is the best he's ever coached - is injured and a true Freshman 4-star becomes the new starter, that means the team is now 'more talented' than it was before the injury.

Honestly, the article addresses this and the relevant portion is quoted in the OP. You aren't poking any holes or making any shocking revelations with your supposed gotcha question.

Give it a rest. No one outside your little group is worried about or taking Arky seriously. Keep trying and you might convince someone somewhere. Just remember the team your fans are obsessed with and trying to convince everyone sucks is the one you keep trying to compare yourselves to. You should be more worried about the fact your team is 3rd from last talent wise. We may get our shite kicked in but it won't be by Arky.

Ok fair enough but until they start winning 10 games every year they are not ahead of Bama, LSU and UF.

Hell, right now AU just needs to worry about getting ahead of OleMiss-MSU-Vandy-Arky.

Shocking just how bad all that talent looked the last couple of years. Coaching was a huge part of it, but highly ranked "talent" should perform naturally on their own merits when they take the field.

Gus & Co have had their hands full - I can't imagine what that staff found in the mentality of those guys on that roster when they got there.

That's for sure

I could honestly see Alabama losing to Auburn in November, but I believe Auburn is probably the sixth best before the season starts.

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. LSU
4. Florida
5. Texas A&M
6. Toss up between Auburn and South Carolina

I'm not sure you do. Last years class had to be a mess and I don't think BB is necessarily setting the woods on fire. Like I said, Arky has always done more with less than anyone else in the SEC. Not knocking your talent, but I don't think you could say its as good as UT's, USCe, or A&M's, currently.

If you are ranking them on how they will finish this year, USC is easily ahead of AU. AU is more likely to be battling with UT, the landmass, vandy and arky this season than the six you listed.

I think Auburn just may be the third most talented team in the Securities & Exchange Commission.

That's what I was listing - should have highlighted that

I love my team but I'm not sure if we can pull it off, it's gonna be a ride for sure.

We developed our players way better over the past few years than any of those schools you listed

Uhhh Bielema got a five star running back in two months and a few 4 star O-linemen

Plus he's doing way better than we ever have at any time during the recruiting rankings era. We're in on several good players (and yes many of them are 4 stars)

We have a legitimate shot to be in the top 20 this year. That may not sound like much but he still hasn't coached a game here yet. Once he starts winning it'll pick up even more

Let it sink in that John L fricking Smith BLEW YOU OUT

If you're so confident then go join TT's bet over on the Help Board. I already have, although you Auburn fans are slacking in joining. Pretty sure you're all scurred

What's funny is that you've constantly had higher rated classes than us and yet we've owned you recently. Could it be that our AD isn't completely retarded and knows how to hire good coaches?

Hmm, this sounds eerily reminiscent of last year
