So Auburn had zero attrition?

I know you prefer canned responses and reading from the talking points de jour, but this analysis was based on the current 2 deep rosters of the teams.

Yeah but are these high school rankings or does it account for the regression of skill and technique after 2 years of Chiz Training Academy?

Team Speed Kills used Rivals recruiting rankings and developed a simplistic formula for identifying the most talented 2 deep rosters in the SEC. The article discusses the overall breakdown and links to the specific offense and defense breakdown articles.
Is attrition taken into consideration? How 'bout when a 4-5* QB gets shuffled over to defense?

Hi! I wrote the blog post linked to here. Hit me with any questions you have on it.

To be clear: Auburn has the SEC's third-highest average recruiting ranking for the players in the two-deep. Backups are weighted 75% of what the starters are in the average.

Each school's depth chart is a best guess based on what they had heading into camp, plus a few revisions based on early injuries and other roster moves (like Frazier to safety). My intention is to update these figures after fall camp to include changes from competition, injuries, and fall enrollees.

Third most talented team in the SEC is a stretch. I definitely think they are the second most talented team in the West.

It is hard to say "yes" to that after what they have done on the filed the last couple of years. But it is interesting to see the numbers. These are mostly guys in the two deep being recruited by the same schools winning championships or at least 10 games a year.

And lol at UF being 2

UF is in Florida. We will always be very high. Don't worry though, we aren't Auburn. We will use the talent and win with it as we have done for the last few decades.
