Bear Bryant couldn't win 6 games with that bunch of 8 balls. Chizzie is screwed for another year.
I'd say 5th in the west...maybe 4th?

Other than Bates, O Mac, Lutzy and a few receivers we won't lose anything of significance.
I wouldn't consider losing Bates as significant. I think it will actually be an upgrade.
I just don't understand what Chiz sees with this guy. Other than an undersized LB who misses 5+ tackles a game.

Wow, I'd never thought I'd see someone backhandedly wish cancer upon someone.

Yup, Shon will never play football and go on to live another 50 years in remision...having died in his 70's never taking a snap.

@JHokanson: Kiehl Frazier was leading all quarterback drills, and making all calls when all QB's were going through the motions.

Per Rachel Morand:
quote:
The Tigers held their first practice of the spring Friday morning. Due to rain, practice was moved indoors.
*** Quarterbacks Kiehl Frazier, Clint Moseley, Zeke Pike, Ryan Carter and Tate O'Conner (No. 19) worked drills where they took snaps under center. Frazier worked with 2011 starter Reese Dismukes. Moseley was paired with Tunde Fariyike. They later took snaps out of shotgun. Frazier called all the plays.
*** New OC and QB coach Scot Loeffler worked with the QBs during those drills. He's very involved and is certainly a hands-on coach rather than one who yells from the sidelines.
*** Once stretches started, Moseley led the QB line. Traditionally, starters lead the stretch lines.
*** Mike Blakely, Corey Grant, Tre Mason, Onterio McCalebb, Travante Stallworth, Jermaine Whiteheadm Robenson Therezie all worked at kick returns.
*** Whitehead is wearing No. 3, a change from No. 38.
*** Working at linebacker in what appeared to be the first team was (from left to right): Kris Frost, Jake Holland and Daren Bates.
*** DE Justin Delaine, who missed the majority of last season with a knee injury, has his left knee wrapped up with a brace.
*** Emory Blake is rocking one of the coolest mohawks I've ever seen.
*** Blake led one of the WR lines, while DeAngelo Benton led the other. Behind Benton was Reed, followed by Jaylon Denson, Quan Bray, Dimitri Reese, David West and Taylor Williams.
*** Behind Blake was: Stallworth, Sammie Coates, Anthony Morgan, Adam Dyas (S) and Ryan Carter (QB).
*** The running back stretch line (from first to last): McCalebb, Mason, Grant, Blakely, Chandler Shakespeare, Patrick Lymon and Johnny Lockett.
*** Gabe Wright looks great. He's listed at 305 pounds, but could easily be 300 or less.
*** Greg Robinson, Chad Slade and Christian Westerman are, for lack of a better word, beasts.

Auburn’s spring practice session opened this morning a little after 8:30 a.m. Being the first day of spring practice, it was an open viewing period for the first 20 minutes, so the beat writers had some time to take a look at the roster and make a couple of news and notes. For the most part, we didn’t see anything in the way of schematic stuff, mostly just stretching and special teams, but there were still more than a few personnel notes to be gleaned from the early viewing period.
For the better part of practice, the blog couldn’t help but pay attention to new offensive coordinator Scot Loeffler, who is about as intense and high energy as they come. Even in the warmup drills he was putting the quarterbacks through, Loeffler was intense and detail-oriented, telling quarterbacks to go back and do something as simple as a dropback over again if he didn’t like what he saw.
Follow the blog on Twitter and Facebook.
Nosa Eguae, Jonathan Evans, Kenneth Carter, Ikeem Means and Ladarious Phillips were not on the practice field this morning. Eguae had offseason shoulder surgery, so that may be keeping him out. The other four are players we’ll ask Chizik about after practice. T’Sharvan Bell was on the field, going through drills and wearing an enormous brace on his left leg. All four early enrollees were present and participating. For those who don’t remember, it’s offensive lineman Patrick Miller, offensive lineman Shane Callahan, linebacker JaViere Mitchell and quarterback Zeke Pike. There had been some speculation that Miller was trying to go back to LSU, but he was on the field and padded up right away. Illinois transfer fullback Jay Prosch was on the field and wearing No. 35. A couple of the position changes from the roster played out on the field. Anthony Morgan has moved to receiver, and both C.J. Uzomah and Blake Burgess were warming up with the tight ends. Forrest Hill was handling deep-snapping duties on field goals. Jake Lembke was handling punts. No way to know if that’s the way they’re starting until we talk to special teams coordinator Jay Boulware, likely sometime next week.

so that's why miller is leaving.
