Yep. Baylor heard all off-season how good the Auburn WRs were. So, Aranda played a shell coverage to keep everything in front of them, because Arnold actually throws a decent deep ball.

Once Freeze figured out they were going to stay in what almost equates to a prevent defense to guard against deep balls, he just started running it down their throat. If the team can put up 307 at 6 ypc, it would be dumb to do anything else. Going away from the run is what he did last year at key moments (see the Oklahoma game) and us Auburn fans rightly vilified him for it.

Given the hideous situation his predecessor created at Auburn, he has to recruit. Auburn had a huge talent deficit caused by the failures of Mr. Potato Head.
