On a side note, the AU police chief said they were looking to talk to 3 other people. I would bet that one of those people is who he called to pick him up from the side of Wire Road. I bet they ran a check of who he called right after the crime, and cross checked it to whoever the phone number belonged to.

I agree. They have more to work with than we think. Sounds like he visited his grandmother too.

If someone did come pick him up after he dumped his car, can they be arrested for anything?

If they knew what he had done they can.

Is that on par with aiding and abetting a fleeing felon?

It would be pretty hard to prove that the driver knew anything about the event. But if they somehow fun out and can prove that he knew then he most certainly can be charged.

Prayers to the families and victims.

I think it would depend on what he told them, and if they come forward and help the authorities with what they know. The police chief instructed them to come forward. If they don't, I would imagine you would definitely see more charges filed. He kind of alluded to it when he said "we have not filed any charges against other individuals at this time".

I really hope they catch this piece of human filth soon. And I hope that all the bad things in the world consume his every waking moment for the rest of his pitiful existence.

For those in law enforcement, why do they wait to tell us who the suspect is? Why not tell us the names of the people of interest?

Must they be charged before that can happen?

Well considering that half the people on this thread already want to shoot him insight, I would certainly hope police would be very certain to call out the right guy so they don't get some innocent guy shot.

The car was ditched close to one of my friends place and he met with investigators this morning. It is such a sad day here in Auburn.

Anybody wanna bet me a $100 that this guy grew up not knowing his father, or the father was in jail? Anybody?

Sheridan would put those odds at 10:2.

He lives just over the Macon County line. He didn't say which side of 85 the car was, just that he was questioned by the law because the car was ditched close to his place. They wanted to know if he saw another vehicle.

So this might mean that if a person had rescued him, they haven't come forward.

Not really. General consensus is that a fight broke out over a girl, guy pulled a gun and started shooting. As far as who hit who, who did what, etc...not being disclosed right now.
