But is it possible it is because he has had only a few passes in limited sets where he is running onto the field for a play or two. He has only thrown 10 passes and no more than 4 in the same game.
Don't you at least want to see a few series where he is the QB before you make such a definitive statement?
What was your prediction about Cam's ability in the NFL pre-draft?
That revolving door QB rotation needs to stop. It appears that it confuses both QB's & the OL. Neither QB can get in a groove and settle down to do their job when they're hustling out on the field after every play.
Chizik/Malzhan should at least try to keep the same QB in for a series or two and see what kind of production he gets. Just a thought.....

I disagree. At least he can run the ball and provides you guys with a running qb because Trotter/Mosely can't.
Moseley had a few runs where he was able to get away and get up field for a few yards, which Trotter couldn't do.
Only problem is most plays the DL was in the backfield before the ball had even gotten in his hands.

He reminds me of Kiehl Burns so far.
You have obviously forgotten or never saw Kodi Burns attempt a forward pass if you trully believe this.

The two Arky picks were both decent passes he was just late on one and failed to read the safety and/or respect his speed on one and didn't see the LB on the other. He looked as if he came out of the huddle knowing where he was going to throw the ball.
I agree he needs lots of work on catching up to SEC caliber play. My hope is based on his physical skills and intellect. I think he has the ability to figure it out.
As to the Kodi comparison, he simply threw balls up for grabs and had no accuracy whatsoever. I don't see the similarity other than they are black and from Arkansas.

quote:even last year you could see CN throwing a VERY pretty ball and he's doing it this year with the Panthers. I did not have him #1 overall or doing nearly as good as he is doing but NFL scouting really isn't what this thread is about.

I always say there is a reason for why QBs are allowed or not allowed to do certain things. For example CUM chose to risk Tim tebow's life rather than start Brantley. Why? Because Brantley sucks arse. At this point in the season Frazier should be showing everybody SOMETHING. At least a taste of what he can do but all I see is Chris Relf v2.0.

Too soon to tell, but should have redshirted.
This. I'm not sure why he is playing this year but I suppose he could be redshirted in in any of the next 3 years.

I hoping he has a decent senior yr.

true and that's why he is probably better than Trotter. However, as a passer it's still kind of up in the air because Mosely really didn't get a chance. That o.line was raped.

Frazier will not get the development he needs right now to ever reach his potential. He's burned a red shirt this year and after Malhzan leaves I get the feeling Chiz is going to want to go to a power running game.
I think you are more right than most one here know or want to admit. I can't see Chiz keeping the same offense when Gus leaves and will revert back to a more traditional offense.

Drexyl, you are really reaching on your evaluation of Frazier.

quote:Why? He is a freshman that has been taught a limited package. There are 2 QBs that were in a QB battle, thus he isn't getting a ton of reps other than the wildcat package. KF has thrown 10 passes, most of them have been pretty. Also, Cam was throwing terrible down field balls early in the season last year, but really got better as the season progressed (and has gotten even better with pro reps).
At this point in the season Frazier should be showing everybody SOMETHING.
All I am saying is that it seems silly that you have formed such a strong opinion based on so little.

Accuracy might be the only thing that Trotter is better than Clint at.
But Clint, when the play has time to develop, has the ability to put a lot more zip on the ball than Trotter, and also allows us to throw a deep pass, which is a big part of Gus' offense. Take out the threat of the deep pass, and it becomes a lot easier to stop us.
