I may be out of the loop, but does anybody actually use the N word any more as a derogatory slur?
The only context I've even heard this in the last few years has been amongst and between black folks as an acceptable slang word.
Of course its been several years since I've been close to a trailer park too. So, what do I know?

You have players that have gone to parties in blackface, and KKK outfits. Alabama has had more than it's share of racist incidents as all southern schools have, but I don't recall any players being involved in them.

I love how every incident becomes a battle between Alabama and AU and people pretend there is a stark moral difference between the people that attend AU and those that attend UA.
While things have come a long way in Alabama, racism is still prevalent and likely exists among a pretty similar percentage of the students at Alabama and Auburn.

Out of all public schools in the SEC they probably have the lowest percentage of Black students.
Auburn claims a minority student population of roughly 12% LINK. Georgia claims 22% LINK. LSU claims 23% LINK. Alabama claims 12% LINK. Tennessee claims 30% LINK.
I didn't bother to search the rest. Since 55-65% of all students come from in state sources, perhaps the Alabama schools lower populations of minority students are more reflective of shitty socioeconomic conditions for in state minorities rather than bad social conditions on campus?

Ryan Pugh went to a halloween party dressed as Reggie Bush while his date was dressed up as Kim Kardashian. Hardly racist, and was never viewed as such by his black teamates. The only ones protesting were crimson clad message board posters. And no players dressed up as KKK members. It was a fraternity who got punished for it.

I assume black students are not the only minority.

least we forget that was almost a decade ago...

Alabama has more HBCU's than the other states. Your link includes minorites not just black people.
Auburn has that reputation among black people whether its true or not. I went to many schools in the Birmingham Area and that seems to be the consensus. Its not the place to go if you don't play sports.

And your point? We continually hear from Bama fans that they have more minority students... That is just another bit of Bama Babble...

Actually that doc. focuses on the machine. Which as stated earlier has more to do with indifference all together than just race.
Now back to subject. Did this really need to be posted in the rant? What the fudge does this have anything to do with football in general? Oh it has to do with football because it involves players. Really? Stop the stupidity!

So, 2 young people were at McDonalds, enjoying their McShakes and their McFries, and two two ruffians, out of the clear blue sky, said ni**er and bitch. Okay then.

The shooting at the Tuscaloosa bar had racist
implications, he had etched the words KKK in the
door of the previous place he had shot up. I know
for a fact this is an on going situation at UA
especially the fraternities. To even imply that
UA is innocent is laughable.
