Now that all of the children have finished. If any of you think Bobo, Rocker, Friend, etc are trash coaches it shows how little you truly know about this sport. Not looking through Aubie glasses....... Bobo has put points on the board since he has been OC/HC at college. Coach was directly responsible for bring a lot of great talent from South Georgia on both sides of the ball to Athens and he was the top recruiter while there. He is still very well respected here in middle/south Georgia. With relation to Coach Rocker..... to not retain a recruiter/coach with the ability of Garner (here comes the bagman quotes) speaks volumes of the direction Auburn wants to go. The good ole boys have been told to shut up and support. New football only facility with the assistance of Apple is already started and going to be sick. Like it or not Auburn is and always have been top 5 in this conference and a very attractive place to coach, live and raise a family. Our apologies if the facilities, school, etc in Columbia make it harder to recruit the truly elite players. Perhaps both coaches think the same thing and that’s why they left.

Funny you're going by bobo's past his present is 6-16 the last 2 years. Rocker is a washed up has been that can't recruit and doesn't have the passion to teach anymore.
Auburn WAS a top 5 school but has now fallen to the middle pack and sliding further. Seems as though you have talked yourself into accepting garbage coaches. Good luck!

I don't care how good of a coach he is. That's not what I'm personally on about. I don't think that Bobo's personality is good for a locker room. The same toxic reports that we had about Bobo at CSU followed him to SC (where we had players saying the same thing). To me any football acumen he MIGHT have is offset by the rifts he creates with the players.
If you don't think that is a problem, more power to you and good luck. We've just seen and experienced it first hand. He took a coherent and united locker room from last year and destroyed it in less than 1 year.

Look, all smack aside, we are just trying to warn you in advance. For Auburn's sake, I hope it doesn't turn out that way, but I don't like the man (for how he treated multiple players on our team and what he did to the locker room) and will never like the man. I don't care how much football knowledge he has. I'll go as far to say I like him less than Dabo Sweeny and you all know how SC fans feel about him. My distain for the man goes that deep.
I hope that is the ringing endorsement your looking for.

Muschamp is very toxic so you may be onto something. Bobo straight up lied so he has shown his true character. I doubt auburn fans will put up with his shite after 1 season.
I guess my issue is knowing the past auburn brand and the huge fan support they have the acceptance of the coaches you just hired is very underwhelming for you. Firing a winning coach and replacing them with washed up retreads is not the auburn i grew up knowing.

Bobo was damned determined that come hell or high water Hill was going to be his qb. He ran off a kid with 10x more upside who gave his heart and soul to them team. Then he lied about staying. Rocker packs up in the middle of the night and doesnt say a word. Friend comes in, signs a new contract, then goes back on his word. All 3 have sorry arse morals and all 3 have failed miserably recently. If thats the type of guys that auburn wants running their program good luck...then again they did hire pearl and buy scam newton so no morals may be the auburn way.

Where did Harsin coach in the SEC again? Mason was a HC in the SEC, took Vandy to 2 bowl games, got fired and is now our DC not a retread.

Look trying to sell SC fans on the fact that their program has been perpetually bad over pretty much it's entire existence is like trying to sell ice to eskimos. We know it better than anybody because we've LIVED it. It's not some abstract fact on the stat sheets to us...
