I was sitting in the endzone at Jordan Hare during the mad hatter's last year. When LSU scored that game winning (or tying?) touchdown that was called back because the snap was too late, the place went ballistic.

Hell the Earthquake game was in 1988. My mom and dad were freshmen at LSU and told me about how that was the craziest environment of any game they went to. I was actually conceived around that time judging by the timeline, perhaps the LSU/Auburn rivalry is the reason I exist today crazy to think about it

No one tested Burrow like Auburn.
Auburn could have won that game.
Pitiful this game is not happening.
Marlon Davidson and Derrick Brown played a great game. That was one of the best defensive performances I can remember given how great that LSU offense was. Our offense couldn't get a big play when it was needed.

A couple of years ago we had a thread from the supposed whistleblower himself.

I laugh at people who complain about holding all the time, but that game there were some wild non calls.

Considering AU-Tennessee was the costliest SEC rivalry lost with ‘92 expansion… AU-Florida was the costliest SEC rivalry lost with the new format of 2004… it’s only fitting Auburn-LSU is the most costly rivalry to go by the wayside of 2024 expansion.
Because we all know that Auburn's bitterest rivals are Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, LSU and let's not forget the Georgia Institute of Technology.
ETA: And Clemson.
Oh, yeah, and I just learned, State.
Is there any team that isn't one of Auburn's bitterest rivals?

the 94 LSU vs Auburn game solidified my fandom. I remember pouting in the stands as a kid because we were getting beat and I screamed out GO LSU! at the top of my lungs. My grandfather sitting next me told me not to say that, to which I replied, Im tired of losing!
Next play, the first INT for TD. And the rest was history.

LSU Auburn is pure SEC football madness and really what it’s all about.
frick this expansion bullshite that robs of this pageantry.
Some of my fondest memories all time in Tiger Stadium include Auburn.
