the last 4 coaches that Auburn's boosters went after all had one thing in common

My understanding is the boosters wanted Kirby?

Law of averages I suppose.

Bama certainly went through it between Stallings and Saban.

Isn’t that the same thing that was posted just before the Harsin hire?

If you don’t think Pat Dye and Tuberville were great hires for Auburn your bar is too high

Dye was great in hindsight. When he was hired he was 4th or 5th choice and an up an comer. AU was turned down by Dooley, Grant Teaff, Dan Reeves, and another I can’t remember, maybe Jackie Sherrill.

I have been following AU athletics for very long time - the only "Great Hire" (at the time of the hire) I can ever think of with Auburn athletics was Bruce Pearl.. I am not holding my breath

Let’s all hope you’re right.

LSU is gonna lose to Arky and A&M?

Yep. They’ll be broken after the Bama beat down and Arky will beat them. TAMU will get it done for Jimbo. He has a surprise win every year.

With how little Harsin and the Potato Gang recruited or even understood basic recruiting in the SEC, the program is set back no matter who comes in. They ghosted players after promising visits, showed up 2 hours late to pick up recruits because they couldn’t find the Atlanta airport, and Harsin reportedly would tell assistants to take a prospect off the board and then the next day get upset because they weren’t aggressively recruiting that same prospect.

Auburn hasn’t had this bad of a run in over 70 years. There is enormous pressure to get the hire right. And Cohen knows that’s what he was hired to do.

Y’all will still lose your final 3 SEC games and finish with 7 wins. My prediction won’t be far off on December 1st.
