Its not that way anymore because there hasn't been much to get loud about. Auburn starts doing better and winning more, it will be like that again.

We lost to a team ranked higher Georgia. Oh the shame! What does that say about Georgia?

How so?

We lose when we play bad. CAL/ARK
We lose when we play ok. UGA
We snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Mizzou/Oklahoma

We will not beat A&M or Alabama.

They're really not tho. They've played one ranked team so far this year. Up to this point, they've probably played the easiest schedule in the SEC & managed one win.

since the 2019 Iron Bowl AU is 3-5 in J-H in November

Yes and no. I think most people would look at a team likely to finish 4-8 and go "wow they suck." Fair enough. We earned it.

If you look at the losses, they probably appear more competitive than someone would expect for a 4-8 team. Many/most of them appear like at any moment, with a lucky bounce or a little bit of offensive production, we could have/should have snuck out a W.

But eventually, when you keep getting into that position and you keep failing to capitalize - are you really better than your record?

If I had to describe how an AU person feels about AU this year, it's like if A&M is up 17-13 in the 4th in front of a loud JHS crowd, and yet the ESPN real-time prediction thing has A&M with a 98% percent chance to win.

When they're down is when they're dangerous. Never take AU for granted.

I don't expect to see another New Mexico St. game Saturday. AU will be ready and it should be one of the best games of the day (jmho).

I think this is what the folks outside of the SEC don’t get.

For the most part the team record doesn’t really do justice how good of a team a “bad” team in the SEC is! There are no easy games this year (minus MSU)

Yeah, the "bad" teams are still usually filled with 4 star recruits and can easily pull a game or two out of their hat where they play like a Top10 team.

Can't the same be said about the Lone Star Showdown? Both teams are in danger of looking ahead.

I wouldn't know nothin' bout that.
