The biennial loss in Baton Rouge will do it.

That's not really a fair assessment. Clemson won't be as good as last year. Granted they are playing at home, and it should be a good game none the less.

As far as the hype train goes it's somewhat deserving. Stidham will be good..not saying he'll be a world beater, but he will be a solid QB. Auburn is really deep on the Dline and LB and they'll be some of the better units in the SEC. We already know what we have at RB and for the first time in years we will have a great WR unit. Kyle Davis and NCM will be studs.

However we still have question marks at O-line and a bit of safety depth concern. I'm not ready to jump on the hype train just yet, but for the first time in a while the hype has a little merit to it.

Nah I will. I was just screwing with y'all. Imo I think y'all will have 9-10 wins, similar to UGA.

MsState will beat the brakes off of them and that will start the derailment... just like in 2014

Auburn will kill Clemson, thus starting the hype train.

If we lose to another underachieving UGA team again, then the train will be derailed. Those loses have been the only reason Richt and now Kirby have been able to show anything for their season.

It is going to be wonderous around here when the pigeons come home to roost for ole Gus himself.

Just like with Houston Nutt and Ole Miss, the Hog fans have been warning Auburn about this guy for quite some time.

I'lll say it again, Bert's best season at Ark is one win more than Gus's worse. Keep shouting.

Why is it so hard for some people to use proper tense on something that is so utterly simple and basic? The 'I'lll' I'll assume is a typo but the 'worse' is like completely uneducated or iq of 70 stuff.

Clemson should show us if Stidham is an SEC caliber QB, as well as if our OL is up to the challenge of protecting him. If you are correct, it will be clearly evident by the end of that game.

as slow as Gus' teams start I dont completely agree. its just as likely to be game 5 before he figures out who are best 11 are and what our best plays are. we could get blown out against Clemson and be looking like contenders by mid season

Auburn nearly beat Clemson last season playing with 3 QBs with the worst offensive game plan in major college football history.

In an effort to be historically accurate 5 young men took snaps in the QB position against Clemson last season.

And Bert needed 4 overtimes to beat Gus' worst team. For his only win against Gus. Clean own backyard and all that stuff pigs.

If Stidham is as advertised, Auburn will be tough to beat and in prime position to go to the playoffs, if he isn't it will be a long season for Auburn. It is actually that simple.
