Are we even going to see many kick returns with the new rules in place?

Captain Obvious.

But why take away a guy that can potentially take it to the house? We might have many guys that can do it but none have proven that to have the explosiveness that Mason does there.

Nope which plays into what I'm trying to get across here. It's not as big of a risk to throw Mason back there because he won't have as many chances to return w/ the new rule.

If not, we'll just take it to the 25.

Hopefully Parkey has perfected his moon ball that land at the 2 and has a hang time of 7-8 seconds

It's a valid question.

McCalebb has. And we won't know if any of the freshmen can if we don't give them the chance.

I sure hope Melvin Ray can run routes and catch the ball, because he sure looks the part. #82

They showed last year that McCalebb won't be put back there.

Why give them a chance as a frosh when you have a proven player there already?

It's pointless to argue. It can go either way. Just two differences in opinion.

I disagree. I think you see teams kicking it short on purpose. You basically get penalized for a touchback with it coming back out to the 25.

Now your gunners have 5 fewer yards to travel to get there. If you can sky one, you are going to decapitate some people.

Because he had a large role in the offense. Now Mason has a large role in the offense.

For the same reason McCalebb wasn't put out there last season and Mason was even when he was unproven

Agree. Caddy was the kick returner when he was here. Put the best guy out there, regardless of what other role they have.

Anyone see the pictures of Jeffrey WHitaker? That guy has a massive frame. Maybe if he could just get back to 330 but make it muscle not fat this time he could live up to potential

Watching the thursday practice video. Can we just put Brian Van Gorder at LB? He knows what he is doing and he lakes bigger/ in better shape than half our linebackers.

For a kid that was undergoing treatment for leukemia a year and a half ago, Shon Coleman looks like he's in fantastic shape. Amazing to see him out there.
