I think the offense will spit and sputter for a while, especially on pass plays, but will get the job done. I think Auburn wins by 10. Not sure we will pull the 15.5 but I also have very little knowledge about WSU

Our offense will not come out on all cylinders. I see a lot of zone reads and power runs with Mason and Cap. I believe we will throw it 15-18 times to keep them honest but it will be a simple offense. No need to throw too much at Marshell this early

Beamer's a damned good coach. Last year was an aberration. Perfect setup for him. VT defections, Bama pub, media giving them no chance, everybody talking about the TAMU game. Perfect upset possibility. Don't think it will happen, but it's more of a possibility than most people are saying.

Take into account that Virginia Tech isn't the same, old Virginia Tech, they've had tons of injuries, they hired Jeff Grimes and Scot Loeffler to coach an already terrible Logan Thomas, they can't even run or pass the ball on their own defense, and they don't have near the depth of Alabama...and you have yourself a good old fashioned SEC over the ACC beatdown again.

Alabama by 30, at very least.

Auburn wins pretty easily. They are like the junior varsity version of us. WSU is like the junior high version.

Didn't they have negative yards rushing in their spring game?

Seriously dude, you guys came into the league when AU, UT, and Ark were having strangely bad seasons at the same time. You'll learn, any of those teams can take you down any year. Better cherish the 2012 season.

Nope, but they only averaged around 1.5 yards per carry in the Spring Game...

They did have negative rushing yards in the latest scrimmage though, IIRC.

It doesn't matter if they were recruited for the system. They weren't running that system last year. There will be an adjustment period.

Also, why are people repeating that WSU is using 3 former walkons and freshmen on the oline? They released their two deep and out of Fullington, Eklund, Dahl, and Forbes I believe Dahl is the only fomer walkon and none are freshmen.

37 points in Malzahn's first game in 2009. None of those players were recruited for Malzahn's system.

Yes there will be sloppy moments, but we should still score some points. OLine should be really good in this game. The running game shouldn't have much of a adjustment period which is our strength anyways.

They're going to kill AU. Happy now?

I heard a lot of people talking about this but I never believed it.

But we are pretty good up front. I dont see us having a issue with them there

Bama wins by 35 at least. Probably 45-10 with 7 coming in garbage time.

I don't even believe that. I think AU wins. I wouldn't bet the over/under but I'd probably take WSU with the points.

That team was equally as bad as this Washington State team. They finished 4-8 in 2009.

I don't see it. Va Tech should field a D with a pulse this year and bama's oline is not going to be a dominant unit out of the gate.

My pick is bama 30-13. And something like 17-0 at halftime or 20-3, then a boring 2nd half with the subs in by the start of the 4th and a backdoor cover.
