Well this thread made me feel all warm and fuzzy. I’m afraid he’s going to bring Roof with him because the App St defense was pretty good statistically last year, but I worry about his old crusty arse on the recruiting trail and there aren’t many very traditional offenses left.

Runs a 4-3 with lots of soft zone.

This is a horrible hire. Think of the prevent defense, but for the entire game.

I think it’s the 2016 GT v Miami game. See if you can find that and you’ll see what you are getting. Miami ran the exact same play like 5 times in a row and got huge chunks of yardage each time.

He was actually running a 3-4 at App State this year so maybe he’s changed, right....RIGHT!?

I read some people who said they thought he did a good job this year but with the caveat that they were an experienced group.

In Auburn's entire football history they have only had 3 years that opponents averaged over 27 points/game. 2 of those years were under Roof. The 3rd was the year after Roof left.
