His recruiting is a big question mark. It is a first principle for CFB coaches. It will be interesting to see how he navigates the close of the recruiting season, early signing period and the transfer portal to set conditions for the next few years.

That's going to make or break him. I don't think anyone expected this years class to be a great one. Hopefully we can close strong and get some transfers, but the 2023 class will be critical. It's all about relationships and a guy that was all but unknown in the south was going to have a real uphill battle in 2022 without any real established relationships, especially since we couldn't get anyone on campus until July. They've done a great job of getting 2023 and 2024 kids in so far, so we'll see how those classes pan out, but they'll be very important to how far he can take this team.

As for coaching, I think he's done a great job and has really instilled a culture change that we'll see over the next few years. I love his approach and I think we'll continue to see a team that's tough as nails and that plays smart football. We're still making mistakes out there, but it takes a while to get all that out of your system. We've clearly improved as the year has gone on, but we still don't have it in the trenches, especially on OL and any good DL is going to make it tough for our offense to function until we have a better OL. You saw that against uga, A&M, Penn St to an extent, and I think we'll probably see it again against bama.

I will reserve judgement on recruiting later because player development is more important to me than the great recruiting classes we had under Gus that never lived up to expectations

B plus.

had them losing to OM and they did lose to the other teams I thought they would lose to

If they are flat and lose to MSU then the players may pack it in

But their QB will play lights out vs Bama. It is in his blood

5. Quit running trick plays.

Not sure I agree with this. IMO always good to get stuff on tape that the other team has to spend time coaching for, but in our case we just need to hang on to the frikkin ball long enough to execute the play. We had a wide open receiver when Bo inexplicably dropped the flea-flicker toss. That's 100% on execution rather than the play caller. Same in the Penn State game.
