I didn't see the whole game but when the Oklahoma player looked like he was going off the field & got the pass for a td that was crappy. Can't believe they let that td stand. Hopefully TN can right that wrong Nov. 1st.

"When they asked the ref". Exactly my point. The refs on the field blew the call because of an obvious lack of knowledge of the rules. The rule as relayed by the League office is not that complicated. Again, trust the League's refs & you'll soon die by that sword you are leaning on here.

Let’s get a few things straight about yesterday’s game in Norman.
1) The officiating was poor. When Oklahoma was headed for the SEC I warned OU fans that SEC refs were likely the only refs in football worse than the B12 refs. This group might also be the worst set of SEC refs
2). The score that was overturned as an incomplete pass was the right call. No expert has looked at that and disagreed. He never had control of that ball. If you look closely at the replay, the defender had the ball pinned against the receiver momentarily, but the receiver never had control.
3). On the double pass, pass interference, the ref just missed it. He was in the right position, but facing the wrong way. However. Auburn scored on that drive, so that penalty had no bearing on the game.
I would also add that on the pass interference later called in the end zone, that ball was likely not catchable. However, the defender held the receiver. Holding was the correct call. Holding would have been half the distance instead of placing the ball at the 2. Those extra yards could well have made a difference.
4). All teams suffer from bad calls. OU was without R Mason Thomas in the first half because of a bad targeting call. Put him on the field in the first half and OU may have had 15 sacks. That bad call (from last week) probably had more effect on the game than any other call.
5). On the “deception” call, the refs once again got something wrong. But OU inquired about this before the game. Had the ref gottten it right, the play wouid have never happened. OU may have still driven down and scored, but very likely scores at least 3 from that spot on the field.
6). I counted at least 9 missed holding calls on Auburn, and 5 on Oklahoma. Several of these on 3rd downs. If we are going to start reassigning points to fantasize about Auburn winning, are we going to ignore these 14 plays?
Good luck going forward Auburn. Your receivers alone will keep you in a lot of games. Jackson Arnold is a great kid and developing into a solid QB. He is going to win a lot of games for you.

Got this off Facebook, not claiming credit for it, but it says it well.

lol.
Anybody can find holding calls if you look hard enough. It's the most subjective rule out there. Buzzword will eventually drift from "tug" to "nibble"

Well that’s expected when you have a winning record against them and dog walked them last year with the worst OU team in 26 years.

And you believed them? You might want to look up gullible in the dictionary. They were just trying to be polite.

I’ve seen how Auburn posters act when refs make critical calls that give them the game
No compassion from me

The play where Auburn failed to cover the OU WR because they assumed he was going off the field is on Auburn. They fell asleep. The offense is not required to tell the defense that a player is not going off the field. Don’t be ridiculous. When they asked the refs they replied that they made sure there were only 11 players on the field and that was that.
The league disagrees with your moronic take. The SEC office doesn't publicly call out their awful officials very often. The fact that they did, mere hours after the game, tells everyone that knows SEC football that it was an egregious screw job.
Congrats on the huge win against Auburn and Hugh Freeze. Celebrate as hard as you can because you wont be getting the same favoritism in Knoxville and Tuscaloosa.

Bama fans don't hate Oklahoma more than Auburn.
But we also aren't stupid enough to think Auburn didn't get screwed out of that game.
Don't let our glee over an Auburn loss delude you into thinking that we are the football illiterates that you are.

It's 'Busch League'. At least spell it right.

Most of the whining I’m seeing is from the OU side. You sound really insecure

Actually it was pretty smart and calculated. If we assume it was cheating, and we assume Arbuckle was very intentional in cheating, he clearly did some math in his head:
Upside: I catch Auburn napping, we get a big chunk play maybe even a touchdown.
Downside: We get a 15 yard penalty and we are now out of field goal range.
If he was cheating, and he made those calculations, I’d say it paid off, wouldn’t you? The guy didn’t commit insider trading. He didn’t assault someone. Hell, he didn’t even get caught video taping another team’s practices/walk throughs. So, it would be nice if your whole fanbase got off your high horses/holier than thou stance (which has been insufferable all day) given your HC’s reputation.
