He didn't get fired for banging the Volleyball coach. He got fired for using state/University funds to pay for it.
If this turns out to be true, he's not likely to survive it, which would enable Auburn to save some money for Gus and whoever else is still getting a check.

Harsin has cut everyone out, not just the beat writers. If you don't have a background in tater country, you don't know anything that is happening. Most people understand that making friends with people can benefit you when things get tough. Harsin doesn't seem to understand that.

Because some of AU’s beat writers are beholden to the power brokers in AU who didn’t want Harsin nor did they like the fact that Greene formed his committee and search.
Basically they tote the line for the ones that wanted Steele.
