Auburn dismantles Georgia and Alabama... Does that makes an argument for the CFP?

I think it's very well possible

I agree. Auburn was LSU's toughest game and we played them at home. I can see them winning both of these games. especially Georgia.

The CFP has been consistent on one thing so far: if there are viable 1 loss options, two losses keeps you out.

Oddly enough it puts Oregon in. They are better - lost on a pretty dumb play.

Reply Less!!!! I know that we are in regardless; I feel that Auburn has a chance to creep in just as we done in 2007 with 2 Losses.

Keep dreaming. Keep crying. Not happening.

Auburn can’t stop anyone with a decent RB and they can’t run on anyone with a decent defense. They lose..

Sure it makes an argument, but we'd need help.
The reality is we have a championship level defense that can keep us in pretty close games with the best teams in the country. When you can go toe to toe with #1 at their place without a competent offense, that's worth something.
But it's hard for me to ride our defense in saying that we're a CFP level team and we should get in if ________. We're just not very well rounded and I can't remember a team that is so incomplete on one side of the ball being genuinely in the mix all the way to the end.
Now, that may all be theoretical because to beat Alabama and UGA we'll probably need at least mediocre offensive performances, and if we could play decent games on offense against two top teams, the evaluation of AU would change, I assume.
From a fan perspective, I just want to go get two big wins and enjoy a good finish to an up and down season. Obviously your expectations change if the wins arrive, but I honestly don't think I'd be the slightest bit disappointed if we pull off these wins but don't come close to getting in the CFP.

This, unfortunately.

I wouldn't say that. It was a jump ball to our biggest receiver who (at least half of the time) makes great plays when needed. Incompletion and we hit a FG for the lead.
Risky yes. Dumb no.

Pretty clearly Auburn would be in. Haven't had a 2 loss team in before but this would be by far the best 2 loss resume in the playoff era.. AND the stiffest competition to get in would be a team they beat H2H at a neutral field.

I don’t think so, but they should be in the discussion. Best we can do is take care of
Business and keep our fingers crossed.
