True... but it is not a sanctioned NCAA sport...
It's like Rodeo or Rugby... has its own governing body.
there are nine legit D1 horse jumping schools... A few D1AAs and D2s... and other ones like Sweetbriar College, and Stonewall College and Lynchburg...
Grand total of 29 teams.

They’re literally 12 D1 men’s gymnastics teams and you’re on here clamoring about someone not knowing or giving a shite about it.
Quite literally, nobody gives a shite about it, as only 12 schools across ALL of D1 even sponsor it.
