LOL. There is nothing that gets bama fans (who likely didn't even go to Bama) more roused up than pointing out Auburn has become far superior academically... that and when the average salaries gets posted.
(Those things are both related by the way)

Nothing I post could make Auburn look worse than this thread already has.
Congrats?
Congrats?

Auburn’s averages:
Acceptance rate: 46%
ACT: 29
GPA: 4.10
Top 10% HS Class: 35%
Median Earnings 10 years after graduation: $73k
Alabama’s averages:
Acceptance rate: 71%
ACT: 26
GPA: 3.85
Top 10% of HS Class: 23%
Median Earnings 10 years: $59k
Alabama does, however, tend to attract higher end students at a higher rate than Auburn. They give a lot of scholarships and had over 350 national merit finalists in their recent freshman class.

Auburn took 564 kids from those 8 high schools
Wow, so about 200 more "smart Alabama kids" enrolled at Auburn compared to Bama?
You have a total enrollment close to 30,000, so this is less than 1% of your student population.

It's a hell of a better flex than bragging your school took more kids from the worst high schools from one of the worst states for education.
I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I'd venture to guess that Alabama has more kids enrolled from "Yankee states" with better education systems than Auburn.

And they don't even have basketball anymore.

Unfortunately for Auburn, academic superiority rarely translates to wins in athletic competitions (you know, aside from Auburn getting bullied by Yale

You are correct about that.
Bama's students are basically an agglomeration of the following:
5% very smart, highly rated students out of high school that Bama pays for everything in order for them to come there.
60% out of state kids mostly from New Jersey, Illinois, and the like who just want to party and then move back home after graduation
20% small town kids from poor areas of the state who are average students but the pride of the country town they come from because they are headed off to a 4-year college and that's a big deal for that town.
The balance comes from the urban and suburban areas of the state. Decent kids from decent families but the stereotype is usually kids who want to party more than get an education.
It's not a bad place. But the above stereotypes are very real and whether fair or not, there are a lot of kids that grow up bama fans and want nothing to do with attending the University of Alabama for those reasons.

We have sororities filled with beautiful women who are stay-at-home moms within a decade. Ergo, their earnings are zero.
Sorry all your chicks from Notasulga are ugly.

Yeah. Bama is a backup school behind Ole Miss.
