Auburns opponents in conference play average 40% from 3. There are only 3 teams in all of NCAA that shoot that percentage from 3 as a team. That’s how shitty Auburns D is. That is a sign of terrible coaching. Hell it took Steve over half the game to figure out to double Hubbard and make him pass the ball off last night. Hubbard had 40 points by then. He is a shitty coach that will be canned after next year. Should have started at Samford not a place that just went to a Final 4.

I mean UK spent $22 million on their current roster and are struggling too.

Allegedly. Someone leaked that number (likely inflated) to convey that Kentucky is willing to spend money. If you’re gonna leak a number, have proof or STFU. Of course, much of that alleged $22 Million is sitting on bench. Regardless, bad look for Kentucky. Amazing how Kentucky could “spend $22 million on a roster” and have NO RECRUITS for next year.

It's just sports, right? I'm sure Auburn's worth is more than just their sports programs right?

He apparently got $3 million from Michigan. Auburn offered him $1 million.

And Michigan is going to be the #1 overall seed and probably win a National Title with him.

Think Auburn wishes they’d paid that extra $2 million now? Seems like it would’ve been a fantastic return on investment instead of staring down the barrel of firing your coach and paying his buyout in a year.

The exact same thing is going on to your football team over the past 9 years or so. Auburn got to step it up big time or your team will continue to suck for the foreseeable future.

Exactly this. This was always going to be a rebuilding year. People forget Bruce took Auburn to a Final Four in 2019… was on pace to be a 5-seed until COVID canceled the Tournamant in 2020… and then in 2021 we had a disastrous season due to a rebuilding year. A lot of Auburn fans have revisionist history and want to forget that Bruce also had a bit of a down period before having another great run.

We came back after 2021 and had a very strong 4-year run 2022-2025 (5th best program according to KenPom those four years behind only Houston, Duke, Gonzaga, and UConn). This season was going to be a rebuilding year no matter what.

edit: the MARGIN of losses aren't horrible

Yes. How many first year coaches had to start against the toughest SOS in America? You can’t judge a coach on one season.

Auburn has faced 10 opponents in the current 1-20 teams on the Seed list according to Bracketmatrix. Auburn is 2-8 against these teams. Not great, but less than 30 teams would have faired better against that group. Auburn has more wins over teams that will be a Top 5 seed than it has losses against teams projected outside the field…. I imagine less than 20 teams can claim this.

We still wouldn't have a PG to facilitate.

I figure if Vol fans can still talk football after 20+ years of being absolute garbage I can talk basketball after a loss to Mississippi State.

You’re an inspiration of perseverance.

Why? Auburn’s win over Florida in Gainesville still stands as one of the top wins of the season of any team this year. Are you saying it wasn’t?

Tennessee is 1-7 against Auburn in football in the last quarter century. By your measure, why the heck do you ever post on the rant??

Tennessee and Auburn haven't played in football since covid lol. And since then, we have had 5 winning seasons, a playoff appearance, and 2 top-10 finishes, while Auburn is on its fourth coach and has ZERO winning seasons.

Yall lost the last thing you were good at hahaha. Enjoy your fishing team

Okay. Tennessee has one win over Auburn since y2k. If Auburn sucks so bad, how the hell is your team 1-7 against us??

Auburn’s five year drought has been difficult. The only thing that has brought comfort is knowing that however miserable the past five seasons have been, it’s not as bad as sucking for 21 years like Tennessee.

When was your last SEC title by the way?

So are the four faces, one day you’re with a knockout guy or gal, next thing you know your fish food! Doesn’t that bother any of you?

That is OK. They finished top 4 last season and by the Auburn metric is enough to claim a national title.
