This stat is hard for me to believe as an Ole Miss fan. Growing up watching football in the 2000s and 2010s I’m used to enduring Ole Miss losing season streaks (2004-07, 2011-12, and 2018-19). I’m also used to Auburn and Florida being perennial powerhouses.

That said, I have two questions for fans of these teams:

1) How did it all go wrong?
2) What will it take to fix the program?

1. Not firing Gus soon enough followed immediately by hiring Harsin and letting that frick bury our program under two years of dogshit recruiting.

2. Going to take at least two full recruiting cycles just to have the talent to compete for championships

Auburn has never been more than a flash in the pan about every 10 years. You must have bought into their shallow hype to believe they were in the top half of the SEC. And now that Oklahoma and Texas are here they just dropped 2 more spots in the order. You need to google their last 10 year record. Its horrible.

The Florida u AA that runs Florida athletics. Basically it’s the equivalent to ole miss. athletic foundation sucks arse our former A.D., Jeremy Foley, still medals with the affairs of for the Athletics through his position in the UAA and his cohorts Lynda tealer and Chip Howard our current ad stricklun is just a puppet for them

Jeremy, Foley and the UAE are obsessed with trying to turn Florida into the Stanford of the south so they are railroading the football program because they think that football is barbaric and are more interested in investing in non-revenue sports that schools like Stanford and Cal like such as women’s swimming and rowing

So they basically go super cheap and don’t invest in anything to help the build the football program. That’s why they make bargain bin hires like Boy Scout, Billy Napier, and mid major Mike White. Our dumbass disney bullgators boosters also like these Boy Scout type coaches because they kiss their butts and massage their egos.

The uaa dragged their feet forever to build modern football facilities, and refused to invest in Nil

To fix it, Florida needs Ben Sasse to fire everyone in the UAA from Jeremy Foley to Scott Stricklin and chip Howard and Lynda tealer and of course Billy Napier, and then hire Mark Pantone he from Ohio State and get some real coaches for a change

The Disney gators need to stop acting like everything is OK and the ball gators need to check their egos and give to a coach who doesn’t want to hang out with them all the time at Ambers and take selfie’s with them

It’s not really fair to compare Florida to Auburn, because Auburn is trying to win. They hired a real coach who can actually recruit and their boosters are dropp bags. If anything Florida needs to try to be more like Auburn.

UF has just returned to their usual place. Before 1990 they never won anything that wasn’t taken away for cheating. The 90s were good for them mainly because Georgia had made the worst HC hiring choice imaginable in Ray Goff and with other SEC teams being down. After Spurrier left it was one HC after another for the ever impatient and critical Gators until the ethically challenged Urban Mayer showed up and won until things went sour for him. After Urban it’s been a revolving door of big pay outs to one HC after another. And it’s looks like next year will bring yet another. Despite a few good years ,
Florida is just returning to what they have always been since they started playing football. A mediocre team who couldn’t win even when cheating.

1) Florida was a mediocre program pre-Spurrier. They’re back to normal. Auburn lost their HUNH loophole and has meddling boosters.
2) Florida looks to have stopped caring. Auburn is throwing bags & hiring escorts to fix their program.

How long is a recruiting cycle? 1 year or 3?

Florida is seriously just returning to their standard. Before Spurrier that program was atrocious. Everything they’ve achieved has been since 1990.

Barn just raises their head about once a decade for a 10-11 win season, their norm is 8 wins anyways. So this is nothing special

3. Have fireside meetings with Cam Newton reading the Auburn Creed to everyone.

Florida seems to have had a problem with many of those bags being full of false promises and not money.

To me, what’s happened in the last 30 years is a lot more relevant to your program “normal” than what happened 50 years ago. I know Ole Miss was very good in the 50s and 60s but that has very little bearing on the present.

Greg Byrne is patiently waiting for Saban to retire so he can destroy Alabamas football program for us too
