Who the hell attributes NYC to freaking jewish deli's?

Who wants to go to Brooklyn to Borough Park in the midst of the Hasidic Jewish population for a deli sandwich?

I was stationed at Ft McPherson, but I had a brother who lived in Buckhead.

Not to mention half the places people used to go for certain ethnic foods in the 80's are now hipster dufus neighborhoods with rents of $5K a month for a flat.

Give it another 10 years and Queens will be the new cool place for poor whites to go, then it will become nice, the poor whites will move on to another neighborhood to destroy with their hipster doofusness and so on and so forth and soon all the minorities will just have to move to South Jersey.

I go to NYC quite often and still have relatives in Brooklyn. If you know anything about NYC, you know about Arties, Carnegie, Katz or 2nd Ave Deli's. Not hotdogs unless you are talking about Coney Island.

Not surprising, when I thought I heard it I was shocked because I know being closed on Sundays in a big thing for them. If I owned a big fast food chain like that I don't think there is anyway I would stay closed on Sunday but I respect the fact that they stick to it and are not swayed by money.

That is very unusual, I thought they would only sell one franchise per family.

Lets bring up two of his examples(Ill exclude the hilarious mentions of harlem and greenwich village.)

Little italy, first of all, is there a more generic food than american Italian? LI is a fading tourist trap. LI is known for being home to cosa nostra, not great dining.

China town. most people that go to CT think, where can we pick up something to eat in SoHo. People think of fake purses, watches and haggling over price, rather than food. "Coach, Gucci, Pradaaaaaa!!!!)

Katz is the bomb in Brooklyn, and I like Mill Basin as well - Chiffon Bakery is good too. But I do not attribute NYC to jewish deli's on the cuisine scale when I visit.

Greenich was more an example of an area with some soul, not for their food. There is still some good Italian Food in Little Italy. There is a big Underground food area in China town, where you can get real Chinese food, not Americanized crap you are use to.

I knew a lady that owned one at a mall. When they decided to build a freestanding one less than a mile away, they gave he an option on which one she wanted. She couldn't have both per their policy.
