Why would Kiffin take the Auburn job?

He wants to go to a program that can actually beat Bama, win the SEC and play for a NC.

Pretty easy to see without your gump glasses on.

Kiffin is the 11th highest paid coach in CFB. If he got paid 3x his salary, he would be earning $21,000,000/year.

Same issue that always hamstrings MS schools, 4 year contract max which gives the others a big advantage if they are willing to offer an extended contract.

I'm talking, when did an Auburn HC leave the Plains voluntarily?

I told you. It was Shug Jordan in 1975. Every coach since then has been fired or forced to resign.

Auburn is not competing for a NC sandwiched in between Saban and Kirby.

They gave a good fight vs Saban but now that Kirby is on the other side blasting them every year. It’s too much for any coach.

You guys need a miracle to compete.

Why are Bama fans already in a pre-melt over Kiffin

Melt? Because Lane Kiffin has such a stellar record against Nick Saban?

Uh, just where is Jimbo Fisher in that list? One would think with his spotless resume he would be way up near the top.

We need a coach to keep us relevant for now - someone like Kiffin or Sanders…

Kiffin wouldn't put up with the barn boosters.

Cohen hates Kiffin. That’s why the Cohen hire makes me not too concerned about him leaving for Auburn now. That and his buyout for going to another West school is $20 million

That $20 million should end any discussion of Kiffin to Auburn. No way they're paying Gus his 21 plus million, Harsin his 15 million, Kiffin's 20 million buyout plus paying Kiffin's salary and his entire new staff's salary not to mention the buyouts of the current staff. No friggin way Auburn can pay all that out.

Bill O Brien to Auburn makes so much sense.

He’s contributed so much to Bama’s losses the past few years.

A no brainer for the Barn
