It'd odd, despite KJ's domination recently he's not the one that worries me. We've faced plenty of excellent running backs over time thsi year included.

But you can't really prepare to face a QB like stidham that is so deadly accurate. I thought the same going into the first meeting as well, he's the guy that is going to give us more trouble than whoever they line up at RB.

I certainly expect the crowd (or more accurately, the lack of being in JHS) to be in our favor, but our pass defense has been a weak spot all year so I still continue to be uneasy about that. Chaney of course is worrisome as well but I hope he can at least put a better plan together that consists of some passing on 1st down.

Another thing that hasn't been mentioned yet that I've seen is the tweaks to game plans. In the first meeting AU really didn't even do anything bad/wrong, so I'm not sure what they could really do to necessarily improve their game plan. It's almost kinda good that we got whooped so bad if you think about it. We have boat loads of film on what we did wrong (which was a lot) that we can change, where AU doesn't really have that.

There are the fringe who think we're gonna do to AU what y'all did to us at JH. Many just want to see an inspired, disciplined effort from the coaches and players. If we do that and lose, so be it.

Sure...and that's reasonable...it's reasonable to feel like UGA has a decent shot as well. But that doesn't inspire people to spend a grand on tix as AU's perception of this game does "we should win this game and I want to be there to see it"

I'm really interested to see what adjustments Chaney makes.

Our defense probably won't dominate the trenches like they did playing at home and our offense almost certainly won't score 40, especially with our running back issues.

Carlson needs to be his usual self on FGs and put every KO through the back of the endzone. Stidham will need to play like he did against Bama.

I don't seen anyway either team wins by more than 10 and expect it to come down to the 4th quarter for sure.

Agree. Not trolling, but have Georgia fans seen this from your OC this year? I've watched a few of your games but it seems like he only likes to run between the tackles.

Early in the season you saw some screens and jet sweeps and trying to get the ball in space to guys like Swift and Hardman. The last half of the season, though, it's been just lining up and blowing (or trying to blow, in the Auburn game) the DL off the ball. We have to get back to spreading the field again.

I do think we kind of got lulled into the idea that we could just blow everyone off the ball. AU game 1.0 should have made it abundantly clear that that isn't the case.

Very small difference if any at all. We have athletes.

we have GOT to do 2 things, which even a simpleton like me can see:

1- throw more on first down. I've been complaining about it for 2 years, but chaney is dead set on running on first down. Against inferior teams it's fine because we can mostly just force our running game on people, but wiht a defense like AU taht doesnt' work. It wasn't until the 4th quarter of the 1st meeting we actually started doing this

2- get outside. UGA has run the toss sweep for decades but chaney continues to run striaght up the middle between the guards. I'm not saying we have to sweep every run play but we've got to get our playmakers like sony and swift in space and let them do their thing.

Also, we haven't thrown to the TE damn near all year. I'd love to see nauta be more involved.

UGA has been buying tickets for a month.... It is in their home state... They are mad, we gave them bulletin board material, they will come out and fight... The game will be closer, but Auburn wins in a dome. Better set up for our offense.

I really think this is over blown. The tickets that have been on the streets are corporate tickets, so a lot of those will not necessarily be affiliated with either team. Sure some UGA fans have gotten those, but the schools will have the same # of tickets allotted and its not like Auburn is in Arkansas. There are plenty of AU fans in ATL and AU is actually closer than Athens.

I think its 60-40% uga fans at most.

Close game, normally on re-matches, the team that lost the first game wins in the rematch!

That's not the case at all in the SECCG

not necessarily. I believe Falcons PSLs (or whatever they're called, the people who own that season ticket) got the chance to buy tix so you have to think a lot of those would be sold to or claimed by UGA fans. Also when I first began looking at tix several weeks ago there were a lot for sale on the north side (eastern team) and very little on the south side. What I am GUESSING here is that a ton of UA/UF fans in 92 did that lifetime pass thing and once UF realized they weren't going started putting theirs up. I didn't see many at all for sale on the south side until very recently.

Still though, overall yes it's going to be relatively even. AU has a major contingent here, but still not close to what UGA has. It's not going to be 90/10 or anything outrageous like that but it wouldn't shock me if it was 65 or 70% uga folks.

I would love to see Sony lined up at wr in the stack formation like Aub came out in vs Bama. If the wr gets any kind of block Sony definitely has the ability to make someone miss in one on one situations.

I heard the MBS turf is the same as what was put in UGA's new IPF, so they practice on it regularly. However, I can't confirm this is true. It's just what I heard. Can any of you sleuths confirm this?

I just don't see it getting that high. There are a lot of Bama fans that had bought some of the available tickets as well. I guess they could piss and moan and only sell them to UGA fans, but considering they live in the same state, those tickets will likely make their way to Auburn fans. No point quibbling over it though, it will be what it will be.
